We are one of the biggest party stores in Australia, located in Newcastle with shipping available Australia wide!! Shindigs is the Hunter's largest one stop party warehouse, with over 18,000 products available ranging from balloons, catering supplies, decorations, fancy dress to cake decorating supplies and much, much more. was opened in 2003 by Mark and Kate Streeter. Mark and Kate, who are still the owners of the business, actively work in the business on a daily basis. In July 2012 Shindigs launched an online store - so you can now shop online too!There are currently 12 full time staff working at Shindigs who are available to answer your questions and assist you in planning any occasion. We pride ourselves on our personal touch - helping you find the best ways to decorate and plan your special occasions. We enjoy seeing our customers return for their next big event and often find they have told their friends and family to come and visit us in store.

We are currently recruiting full time & part time positions working in our Lambton store.
Both full time and part time staff must be available to regularly work on Saturdays and Sundays, so please do not apply if you are unable to do so.

The full time role ...... would suit a career minded person with a desire to join a fast-paced and growing team. There are very good long term career opportunities at Shindigs for staff who demonstrate themselves to be top performers.

The part time roles ...... require staff to be available to work approx 15-20 hours a week. You must have a strong work ethic and have the ability to commit to a permanent part-time job and the responsibilities that go along with that. This is an excellent opportunity for university students seeking secure employment during their years of study.

For both roles ...... you will need to have excellent customer service, presentation and communication skills. High energy levels, creative ability and a willingness to take direction and learn are essential. Good mental arithmetic is a must in securing any position at Shindigs.

For all staff ...... we offer a dynamic and interesting work environment with a long established Novocastrian business. We have a highly valued group of committed full and part time staff who work incredibly hard. We are looking for other like minded people who would fit into that team.
