Blanket Fort are creative party architects who have been making Newcastle sleepover parties easy and gorgeous since 2017. Indoor glamping for kids and teens (and sometimes the Mums!). Picnics, party theming, backdrops, balloon garlands and our signature ‘Blanket Flicks’ outdoor lawn cinema are also available. We create awesome, modern and stylish pop-up party spaces that land in your home for ‘one

-night-only’ occasions… and then pack it all away for you the next day. We are a registered, insured, full-time, tax-paying small business (no Facebook marketplace for us!). Proudly owned by Newcastle locals and creative creatures Rebecca and Michael Edwards - we look forward to bringing some magic to your next event.

The Rookie… palm trees, cops, crime scenes and romantic tension (hello, Chenford)… by request, we attempted to make this into a sleepover for Charlotte’s birthday and the feedback was “it looks SO much better than I imagined!”

Want to add a few extra special details of your own to our sleepover beds? Go for it!
Saskia’s Mum put together the most beautiful pamper trays for the guests- so many cool goodies including sunglasses that she bedazzled herself!
We tucked our usual items with some extra special cherry tag details around her carefully arranged treats. (So stoked to find another use for this never ending ball of green raffia I have lying around… tada, 🍒 stems!)

Our deluxe picnic table with copper pipes allowed for overhead hanging decos like ivy and dangling Old Man’s Beard mossy vines (and lots of fairylights for nightfall!)

Here’s 4 things we know... (1) childhood should be simply amazing; (2) hosting sleepover parties CAN be a stress-free process; (3) life, love, family & friends are worthy of celebration and (4) there’s no such thing as ‘making a fuss’ when it comes to celebrating & creating memories with the ones we love! We build & design joyful & memorable parties for the young & young at heart. We are a wife & hubs team from Newcastle who build, sew, graphic design, organise and create (and laugh a lot along the way)

SLEEPOVER PARTIES

Our ‘blanket fort’ is an awesome, modern and cosy pop-up party space where every child has their own gorgeous tent and bed to sleep in. It lands in your home for the ultimate one-night-only indoor glamping experience.

Let us do the fussing and crafting, checking it fits, building, decorating, packing down and even vacuuming for you. Fully insured and professionally laundered too - ensuring peace of mind for your event.

We love the opportunity for face-to-face bonding that sleepover parties create for kids, the childhood memories made at our events, and the relief on our clients faces when we finish packing down and they see a clean empty room ready-to-go (no Sunday afternoon laundry here!)

CREATIVE EVENTS & TIPI BACKDROP

The Party Architects from Blanket Fort are great people to talk to about assisting with your other special events – whether they be BIG birthdays ending in ‘0’, pre-wedding do’s, gender reveals, baby showers, weddings or backyard soirees.

Our little touches... from making a divine welcome sign to display as guests arrive, to brainstorming brilliant creative ideas with you over a coffee, to handwriting name tags or ‘table talker’ facts about the guest of honour, hiring out our stunner of a plywood bar, to being a very helpful hand on the day…We infuse our events with detail, texture, talking points and clever personalised touches to make your guests smile.

We infuse our events with signature visual elements and clever personalised touches that reflect the host or guest of honour, and use our 10 years of event management experience and knowledge to make your event *work* seamlessly.

CREATE… Stationary, Signage, Cocktail Bars and Decor with a focus on interactivity and playfulness. Beautiful handwritten nametags and placecards, Welcome Signs, themed cocktail bars…we are happy to provide just a couple of little touches for your special event if you’ve got the rest covered.

TALK....You ponder "How should I...what should I do....where should I start"...Creative coaching and inspiration for your next special occasion, and providing you with a creative road map to make it happen

WALK....Party design and preparation...working with you and your budget to create a one-of-a-kind event for you, and doing all the leg work - sourcing, ordering, organising and creating.
