You know…I have a pretty good job….in between conducting 2 funerals today, I’ve been for a bike ride on the foreshore and a walk along Birubi Beach and I’m now sitting at Little Beach Boathouse having a lovely glass of Chardonnay while I await a Vow Renewal on Little Beach at sunset. And I’m going to eat oysters for dinner! (Just cause I can)……😁 feeling pretty bloody fortunate

Life isn’t all roses…

So…a sad farewell today for my Aunty Pam, my Dad’s only sibling. I don’t ever post stuff about the numerous funerals I do every week because I just don’t think it’s appropriate. The only reason I wanted to share this with you all now is to remind you that I am as human as the rest of you. It’s not all roses in my world despite what I portray on FB. I gain such joy from my weddings but I also feel a lot of pain as a funeral celebrant surrounded by many grieving families every week. This week it was MY family which made it extra tough. RIP Pam Herford.

So I wasn’t going to post this until after the bride and groom posted their first shot of themselves but the bride Megan’s sister Sonya Crowhurst has so cleverly covered Megan’s l face with her bouquet that I’m in the clear (not sure if that was deliberate or not - but nice job Sonny!)….hectic day today with back to back weddings but all was swell. 🙏
