About the role
The role of Sport and Recreation Assistant combines sport, activity, variety and customer contact, offering a unique opportunity to support the delivery of a range of programs including basketball, netball, volleyball, table tennis, martial arts and more, to our local community. In this role you will form strong connections with the groups using the Niagara Park stadium to ensure a consistently great customer experience, where safety is the priority.
This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Working with Children Check
Current Provide First Aid qualification (HLTAID 011)
Current Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate (HLTAID 009).

The weekly salary range for this position ranges between $400.50 - $435.60 plus 11.5% superannuation
This is a Permanent part-time role
This role is located at the Niagara Park Stadium
Hours of work will be rostered as required between 7:00am - 11:00pm
The successful candidate must be available to work Monday (5hrs), Tuesday (5hrs) and Wednesday (5hrs) nights with any additional hours worked into their availability.
Successful candidates will be required to have vaccinations against Hepatitis B and Tetanus.
Council may create an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.

Casual entry is $7 adults and $6 children (17yrs & U). Casual entry allows for up to 2 hours of court time, based on court bookings that day.
Anyone that takes the court must pay entry, whether you are playing or coaching.

Niagara Park Stadium is set to be transformed into a first-class sporting venue, with upgrade works underway to improve accessibility of the venue ahead of welcoming a full calendar year of regional and state championships.

Niagara Park Stadium will be closed Thursday 25 April as we pay our respects to those that have served on ANZAC Day.
Construction works for our new driveway, car park and improved accessible toilet facilities has advanced, with access to the stadium now to be done via the pathway adjacent to the school. As from today no access is available via the main car park stairs.
A new temporary ramp has been built whilst the new facilities are under construction. Please note that this ramp is not permanent and will be removed once the new pathway is complete.
Our internal toilets and change rooms are also unavailable until further advised - temporary male and female toilets and showers will be available outside the stadium whilst our internal amenities are renovated.

This weekend we are proudly hosting the 2024 Coastal Classic. We welcome all visiting teams and wish all players the best of luck.
Please note that due to the size of this event we have no casual shooting available and the car park is now full, so please allow additional time if visiting the stadium today.
Our courts are on their final day of drying and we will be back in action tomorrow, with the return of Central Coast Waves Basketball Rep Training and Mens Domestic Leagues......and we cannot wait!!!

Just a reminder that our stadium courts are closed this week as our good friends from Shoreline Sports Floors work hard to get the surface ready for a big year of sports in 2024.
The courts will reopen Tuesday 30 January, and will be in mint condition for our first major event for the year when we host the 2024 Central Coast Basketball Coastal Classic over the first weekend in February. This event is the premier pre-season event on the Basketball NSW calendar and we are getting excited to show off our new court surface.
