The School has plans for a restoration of the main street mosaic created by Roger Hopkins back in the 1980s. One more act confirmed for the Blue Moon Cabaret on Sat 9 Nov...it's a big show to finish the year of cabarets. The wonderful Brisbane based acrobat and cabaret artiste David Carberry will add some contortion to the show which is jam packed with singers, poets, dancers, acrobats, comedy, grand piano and Erik the electric dog. Fine catering with the return on Eltham Pantry's Barefoot Affair, bookings essential at Perceptio Bookshop ( ph 66891766 ). Doors open at 6pm for dinner and drinks ( no BYO ) show starts at 7.30

The Blue Moon Cabaret on Sat 9 Nov has been sold out for a couple of weeks but stuff happens and then reserved seats get cancelled. In fact two large tables got cancelled, so everyone on the waiting list got some very good seats which means the waiting list is gone and more cancelled reservations are likely. Please contact Perceptio Bookshop (ph 66891766) if you'd like to be on the waiting list. This is the final cabaret for the year, next cabaret is 22 Mar 2025

Tickets and table reservations for the final Blue Moon Cabaret for 2024 are now available at Perceptio Bookshop...and they're selling out fast.
The show on Sat 9 Nov features newcomers juggler Joel Salom, Mandy Hawkes Band, comedian Amber Star and poet Sarah Lock, together with jazz duo Laura Nobel & Greg Lyons, singers Doug & Bikko and Williamina Bowers, poet Tug dumbly, stand up S Sorrensen, dance ensembles Nia Pixies and Nimbin's own Ganga Faeries, virtuoso pianist Stephanie Hamlet, plus a flash of Nimbin fashion and poet/MC David Hallett. Bookings are essential for this sellout show. fully catered by Barefoot Affair (no BYO). Doors open at 6pm for dinner and drinks, show starts at 7.30. This is the School of Arts final BIG fundraising event for the year.

The School of Arts annual Spring Arts Exhibition opened last night, in conjunction with the Nimbin Artists Gallery, presenting an exhibition of artworks by more than 100 Nimbin valley artists. The exhibition will be open daily until Sunday 13 Oct from 10am to 4pm

Last Sunday evening the School of Arts grand piano was the focus of a thrilling twilight recital of works by Debussy and Chopin by renowned Australian pianist Roger Woodward. Over 200 locals and visitors gave a standing ovation to this national treasure performing in our village hall.

This is a final heads-up about tomorrow evening's Twilight Recital with Roger Woodward at Nimbin Hall. This is a very special event, to have the internationally renowned pianist performing works by Chopin, Debussy and Bach in our village hall. Eight Mazurkas by Chopin, followed by Chopin's Polonaise-fantasie, then after the interval, by Debussy, Estampes and Pagodes: La soiree dans la Gr***de and Jardins sous la pluie,, and to complete the recital the Partita No 2 by JS Bach.. Nimbin School of Arts next BIG weekend feature is the Twilight Recital with pianist Roger Woodward on Sunday 22 Sept at 6pm. There are no pre-booked seats for the recital and to answer the many enquiries the doors will open at 5.45pm, first in/best seated, tickets are still available at Perceptio Bookshop, or at the door, $30/$20 conc, there will be an interval, and dinner and dessert will be available. Another big coming up at Nimbin School of Arts with the Nimbin Fashion Show, the first since 2022. This year's show features the work of14 designers including several first timers. There will be two shows on Sat 14th with a matinee at 1.30pm and an evening show with doors opening at 6pm. Nimbin Feast will be catering the event and there is a show bar (no BYO). Tickets are $30

Nimbin's big weekend of poetry is brewing with poets from distant parts of Australia aiming towards the School of Arts for the annual Nimbin Performance Poetry World Cup.
