So I did a THING… in collab with QBD Books I hosted the official Brisbane midnight launch for the NY bestseller SJMaas’ new book. I even doned a wig and some fairy ears for the occasion ♥️ We had 200 books under embargo in boxes being held with security until 12:01am … we drank, we danced, we debated the ending, we took a lot of photos … then we counted down together at midnight where we celebrated in unison some more!!

Then my absolute A-TEAM (of the bestest volunteers ever) and I had to get 200 books handed out to a very (very!) eager audience as quickly as possible. It was (fun) mayhem ♥️

I’ve run so many events over the years … but this one was really special … creating a make-believe world for fans to step into was so precious. I’m so excited for the next 12 events coming up in three weeks with my fantasy festival (over 1000 tickets sold 😱).

If I don’t answer your calls … I’m buuusssyyy lol!

I’m so grateful for the people I get to call my friends and this amazing community we’ve created at Celestial Events Australia over 3000 of us now … ♥️♥️🫶🫶

For the past five years I feel very privileged to be asked to judge the Fashion Category for the annual … it started from my days when I was living in California and the head of community and curation at Not Just A Label (I had about 500 collections to curate each week from all over the globe!). It gave me experience in having a quick eye to spot trends, forecast what was likely to sell and then be able to follow the launch and ecommerce success of new and established brands. Although I’m not working daily in fashion and I’m loving where my events career is taking me - I still have a very keen eye. There some bright talent in this years entries!! I am so excited to see the finalists - thanks again for having me along. Apply next year if you haven’t - the exposure and experience is wonderful x

I sold my event Women in Fashion to the wonderful Upma Kite last year. So at this years event, I was able to attend as a guest and interview the talented guest speakers. It was emotional witnessing my event go on to flourish even moreso and see so many people continue to love the series.

When creating an event series, when done well it will go on to be successful for many years regardless of who is hosting. It’s all about building a community where guests feel welcome and included. I try and make this the focus of all my event series. Thank you Courier Mail for the lovely image - a souvenir to keep forever!

I just adore this lady… would you believe it popped up in my memories that we caught up 5 years ago today (to the day!) in LA (check out my stories!) … that was back when she was writing for Vogue.

Goodness how she has gone on to change the fashion space - first with awareness with her book Rise and Resist and now with her new release Wear Next… Clare Press invites us to ask the question “What sort of fashion future do you want?” … ♥️♥️

It may seem like a big jump from running fashion events to starting a fantasy event program ... but there is due reason! The resurgence of escapism post covid and the desire to be part of a community are greater now more than ever.

Although I have owned my own fashion label and run many different festivals and events, I have never produced full merchandise packs ... until now!

I was so excited to develop this concept and release the packs for pre-sale. I am also excited to announce they have all but nearly sold out.

Just a reminder to keep growing and trying new things. This was a great idea from within my community - so it was even more fun to bring it to life.
