Happy Spring Lovers!

Here we go again, wedding season is back in full swing. If it seems as though I’ve been quiet on here, it’s because I have been crazy busy with meetings, writing and admin in an attempt to get on top of things before I find myself in the thick of peak season itself.

August kicked things off, with 11 incredible couples saying I Do with me but September is where the season really ramps up.

Things I mention in housekeeping 🎤

The first thing I like to do is fill ALL the seats and no, I’m not afraid to ensure each and every seat is filled with the exception of keeping any spare for whoever is walking the aisle at the front.

I then introduce any of my fellow vendors, whether that be musicians, photographers or videographers (were a friendly bunch here on the Sunshine Coast)

In the case of an unplugged ceremony - which is 99.9% of the time - I remind your guests that your fabulous photographer & videographer are capturing how the ceremony will look so that the guests can all focus on capturing how it FEELS without distraction, so please turn phones off and put them away.

I let them know when they should stand (if able) and what my cue will be for this, I also prep the guests on the confetti or petal toss as you exit the aisle in order to nail that shot.

And finally… I do a little crowd warming to ensure your guests are engaged and excited to welcome you to your wedding!

Who Cue’s or Controls Ceremony Music? 🎵

This is a question I get asked all the time, and to be fair it’s a good question as every celebrant has a different method as to whether they cue or control the music.

The short answer is for me is that I Do.

In the case that you have a professional musician, I will catch up with them before ceremony in order to give them their cues so that everyone is on the same page.

In the circumstance that you plan to play music from a playlist, I can download your music to my iPad mini (which I read from) Bluetooth to my Bose S1 Pro speakers and control your ceremony music myself.

Whether is one of our incredible local muso’s or the original track, I have your back. 🎵

To those lovers who are considering me as their celebrant, have been sent a quote but are taking your sweet time to book a call or lock me in… here is your sign to get things underway!

I have honestly had so many couples email me to book lately, in some cases months after their initial enquiry, only to be told I’m no longer available 💔

This is the time that the Spring months of 2025 are close to reaching capacity (I cap my weddings at 10 per month) and the hot dates of 2026 are being snapped up fast!

If you have an enquiry pending with me, use my Calendly link to schedule a call ASAP or reach out to have a service agreement put together soon as there’s nothing worse than getting a ‘We want you’ …only to break the news that ‘I’m already taken’ 🤍 xx
