Today I have been in the studio working on the Mermaid bra for the upcoming meet and greet with Mermaid Chantal🧜‍♀️. I have had quite a number of parents ask me when it will be happening so I am just giving you an update on the progress of the costume and to let you know it will be soon but not in January in these very hot conditions. My obsession with Greek mythology began in my early teenage years. I remember borrowing all of the Greek mythology books that I could find at my school library and being so intrigued by the stories of the Gods and Goddesses that the ancient Greeks worshipped during the classical period, these multiple deities as well as other supernatural beings such as Medusa. I'm thrilled that my passion for Greek mythology has been reignited with this costume of Artemis and I am looking forward to the next photoshoot in this as I develop this costume to be more regal. 🌿🏛️ 🗡️ Model, styling, make-up: Chantal Baltissen aka The Enchanted Alice

✨️I have three studios in my home at The Enchanted Alice arts & entertainment production.️ The studio in this video is where I create and sew the costumes that I entertain in professionally for events private and corporate Australia wide and to cosplay in them for my photoshoots around the world.

At the moment I am working on another top and headpiece to match the rainbow Mermaid tail you see displayed on the table. This is for the upcoming Mermaid meet and greet event that will take place later this summer in Normanville by the sea, my home town. I also design and make my fully swimmable scaled and fabric Mermaid tails.✨️

So happy to have made another little girls Frozen birthday dream come true today. What a special day it was for her and all of her friends. I hope I left them with beautiful memories to cherish forever. While I have a chance to update you in Elsa character, I just want to remind you that a FREE public Mermaid meet & greet with Mermaid Chantal will still be taking place this Summer at Normanville beach. And if you would like to hire me for your events and functions I still have some availability in October and to the end of 2023. I can be hired as character of many, balloon twister, face painter or a combination of these. I provide the music, games and activities. My costumes are as always 5* and handmade one of a kind and of the highest quality materials available so I look like the real character for a true experience. Hi it's Mermaid Chantal a.k a. The Enchanted Alice entertainer and costume designer/creator Chantal Baltissen your local underwater real life Mermaid. This completely functional swimmable tail and bra I designed and made myself in my mid 20s, and it's the second mermaid tail I made. It took 3 years to complete. I designed it on computer first as a render in adobe illustrator using my graphic design skills. I used 8 second hand wetsuits to gather the neoprene which I needed, an Olympic competition size mono fin built in as fin structure, thousands of tiny scales individually hand sewn on, cost in total of materials and equipment to create it about $2k but it's my favourite because it's a one of a kind, no one else in this world has this particular tail and that's why I love it. Many of my other tails are bought from overseas. I don't feel the same connection as a mermaid entertainer in the other tails I bought, not my creativity, creation and the others are mass produced but fine to entertain in. This yin yang tail is my best creation and I will be taking it back to the water this summer ☯️ and there will be more tails coming at The Enchanted Alice so look out for Mermaid Chantal at your local beaches.
