A wonderful finish to our stay in Hakuba. Chef Shingo Suzuki was a very humble man, and only spoke fluent Japanese and Italian so we had a translator. He also has a Michelin Star.

It truely is the little things in life that make me happy.
We went to visit my old family home on the weekend, there is nothing left of it. Over 100 yrs old, sandstone and the council allowed it to be torn down for villas.😢 But there in the back corner abundant, despite the devastation around it, stood my mums lemon tree. I have been collecting organic lemons to make limoncello, now I’ve got more than enough. I’ll be toasting you mum in a few months when it’s ready. In the meantime, lots of lemon curd. 🥰🥰🍋🍋
