A message from Rachel Today I am starting the day thinking of what I am grateful for. Here I am sitting on a lyra that was generously donated by a fellow passionate social circus person. I am hanging on a rig that was made possible through financial support of my family along with physical and technical resources from many minds and hearts to bring it into this construction I am in a building that has already had countless hours of helpful humans giving their time to clean, paint, tidy, move, sort and build a future safe space for Roundabout. For these things I am very grateful. But there is more All of this is new. And it's so easy to get caught in the notion that the new things will make us happy or something will change. Things are obviously changing but I really want to take time right now to remember all the incredible memories that have been shared in the past 7 years of Roundabout that have brought us to the here and now. I am so grateful for my friendships that have blossomed; for the learnings I have received from my students and teachers alike; for opportunities to play and create; all the aha moments; all the struggles triumphed; all the parents who I looked up to as I navigate parenting; all the hugs and high fives and for my amazing team who are considerate of my ongoing journey into running a business that started out as play. Thank you Roundlings I am most grateful for my amazing husband Andy for holding space when there is no space left, for doing all the washing, cleaning and parenting at home whilst I stare at spreadsheets and timetables; for continuing to find the play in daily life and for sharing this crazy dream with me to create a community of people who throw things around, climb on each other, wobble on various contraptions and hang in the sky.
