WEDDING DRESS FOR SALE!
We have been gifted this beautiful wedding dress by a beautiful woman who would like it to go to someone who may be struggling to pay normal price for a wedding dress.
It's size 12, is in perfect condition, has been cleaned, and comes in the box. If you would like to try it on, please message us to make a time! The price is negotiable, as the main objective is to help someone out and make them happy! All the beautiful donor would like is a couple of photos of the happy bride in it!
And all the money raised from the sale will go to our Cafe Connections and our new Emergency Food pantry for people in need. As you can see the first couple of photos are professional ones, but the detailed ones are just done with a mobile, so the details are even prettier than the photos show.

BOOK TREASURE HUNT! 🤩
Hello dear parents of young children! Please have fun discovering a book in one of the local playgrounds! This morning we have been to Bowen Mountain Park, Woodbury Reserve at Glossodia, Turnbull Ave playground at Wilberforce, the playground near Richmond Oval, Governor Phillip Park at Windsor and George Street playground at South Windsor.
And here are some of the photos, but there are more books than you can see here!
We hope this book treasure hunt will contribute to your child enjoying books and discovering the joy and magic of stories!
There is a flyer with each book to invite to our pirate themed reading day on the 18th of September as well, for more fun and treasure hunting!

The children and little Puddles very much enjoyed our musical story time at playgroup last week. There was plenty of singing and dancing around, but we think the favourite was listening to the story of the Gingerbread man! Everyone was fascinated by seeing the little gingerbread man run! And then the children even got to have a go at making it run themselves! 🥰
Have a happy holiday - there is no playgroup during the holidays.
But maybe you can have some fun with stories, picture books, singing and dancing during the holidays at home! We have plenty of free children's books here at the Community Centre for you to take home, or you could visit the library!

Wasn't it just so much fun!
Fantastic weather, lots of nice food, including pumpkin soup to keep us warm, and so much fun singing some good old favourites together! Thank you very much Suze Pratten for leading our sing-along! And thank you to WomanSong for the entertainment! And to John to add the percussion to the WomanSong set!
Thank you to everyone who donated raffle prizes, bought raffle tickets, and donated some money - we raised $720 for the Cancer Council!

Flood insurance inquiry - upcoming public hearing in Richmond, 9th of May - this may be interesting for quite a few locals:

Date: 9 May 2024
Time: 9am (tbc)
Location: Richmond Club, 6 E Market St, Richmond

How interested people can pre-register interest in giving evidence (they can also take sign-ups on the day): People who wish to make a public statement should email a one or two sentence summary of their experience to the Committee secretariat at [email protected]. They should write “Public hearing” and the hearing location (Molong, Eugowra, Richmond or Parramatta) in the subject line and include the full name(s) for each person who wants to participate, as well as a contact number and email address.

The House Economics Committee is continuing its inquiry into insurers’ responses to 2022 major floods claims and wants to hear from Molong, Eugowra, Richmond or Parramatta locals that interacted with insurers. If this sounds like you, you can email the Committee at [email protected] to share your story at the public hearing in your area.
