As theme based entertainers, performing artists and dancers, we have to train hard behind the scenes to ensure we maintain a choreography catalogue in our brains in multiple genres.

Over the past six months, we have pulled out over 22 different routines for performances and are currently rehearsing 5 routines for upcoming events over the next two months. This is, of course, while also rehearsing our back catalogue and learning a brand new routine to present at the Goblin Queen's Winter Ball.

Mistress K and Mandylynne are also busy behind the scenes working on upcoming performances with their respective belly dance and world fusion troupes, as well as rehearsing and performing as soloists

Many of our Steampunk Vagabond troupe members also dance and perform in other troupes and genres in addition to their troupe work with us.

The life of a performing artist is definitely not one for idle minds ... or idle limbs!

We are excited to be roving again at Fear Fest and doing some fun and interactive flash mob style performances throughout the day time.

We'll also be conjuring a darkly magical new look for this years event. Expect the unexpected. ;)

Now that Viking Fest has wrapped up for another year, most of us will be revisiting our belly dance and world fusion roots at this year's in Berry NSW.

We'll be performing in our signature Steampunk style at the Friday night floorshow, and some members of our troupe will also be performing as soloists or troupe members in some more traditional routines at the Saturday evening concert.

Three of us are also facilitating dance oriented workshops at the event.

And so we keep learning, evolving, and dancing!

You want scary, we can do that! Sultry ... some of us excel at that. Cheeky, most definitely. Sassy, of course! A little unhinged ... we can deliver! 😅

The photos are finally in from our 'Changeling' performance earlier this year at the Newcastle Bellydance Festival.
For this routine we revisited our oriental belly dance roots, but of course added our signature dark theatrical twist!

A Changeling was a child thought to have had its soul stolen by the dark fairies, and replaced with one of their own.

May the Norse be with you at the ! We'll be performing Jacob's song as part of the opening ceremony for the festival as well as holding space with Viking inspired performances between acts on the main stage all day.
It makes for a long day, but it's still one of our favourite festivals of the year!

Steampunk Vagabonds are a last-minute inclusion in the amazing lineup of entertainment at this years Thirlmere Festival of Steam. There'll only be seven of us representing this year, but you'll be able to spot us pretty easily amongst the crowd in our vibrant pinks and stripes!

We'll be performing some of our favourites and some fun new routines near the railway crossing at Midday.

We love our multi-dimensional time machine that allows us to traverse time and genres. ❤️

Tomorrow will see us taking on the personas and archetypes of Frejya, Odin, Thor, Loki, Skadi, Jorg, Hela, and Ran at Comic Gong event, exploring Norse mythology and stories.

We'll be bringing our maypole, dominoes, quoits, fishing game, and other fun props for interactive performances and games for the young and young at heart.

The next event on our performance calendar is Comic-Gong. This year we are bringing an original take on Norse mythology to the event with Frejya, Skadi, Ran, Hela, Odin, Thor, and Loki, as well as fun and interactive games and performances.

Testing out a new look today at Shellharbour Civic Centre's Create and Play event. I think it needs a dance outing now. Perhaps a whole lollies, cupcakes and sweets themed set. Hmm. 🤔 Shall we?

Modern western life is so structured and streamlined in terms of what we build and create. While function is great, there is still room for beauty and creativity.

Beautiful Victorian pickle castors
Although they look like lanterns, these containers would have been used to set the perfect Victorian table. In Victorian England, the pickle castor was initially introduced as just another fancy piece of serving ware, meant to carry pickled produce. Being able to have one was a kind of status symbol, as it usually correlated to being able to afford household servants.
