Emily & Jarrad - 20th April 2024

Em & Jarrad celebrated their love surrounded by their nearest and dearest at .hayshed.wedding.and.events

After crossing paths at a dog show, their relationship developed over their shared love of their four legged friends. It wasn’t long before they realised something more profound was developing between them.

There may have been a cold wind blowing over the hills, but that didn’t stop us from celebrating these two wonderful people in style.

I wish you both a beautiful and happy life. You only get one life, so live it well and be proud.

Have you been invited to a wedding? Here are some things that guests should consider:

• Arrive early but not too early– don’t arrive at ceremony start time
• Read invite or website for all info
• If only your name is listed on the invitation, don’t ask for a plus one
• RSVP on time & advise of any dietary requirements by due dates
• Don’t take decorations or centrepieces unless specifically told you can
• Unless specifically asked – don’t wear white / cream / ivory
• Dress code - if unsure what the dress code means - look it up
• Dress appropriately for location - research the weather
• Outdoor wedding – wear appropriate shoes / clothes
• Be considerate of the venue – don’t damage it or leave rubbish everywhere
• If bringing children, it is polite to remove yourself from the ceremony or during speeches if kids are upset or unsettled (so this doesn’t interrupt)

17/04/2024

Do you want to include gifts for your wedding but want something different? Here are some other ideas:

• Make your own lego people
• Personalised coasters - also work as place cards
• Homemade gifts – jams, honey, lollies, relish, candles etc
• Stubby holders
• Personalised chocolates- also work as place cards
• Personal notes or letters for each guest
• Bottle openers
• Wine or spirits
• Luggage tags
• Flower or herb seeds
• Personalised wine or beer glasses

Are you having kids at your wedding? Here are some things to consider:

• Confirm with the venue that kids are allowed
• Check if catering offers kid meals – otherwise you might be paying the adult price
• What age are kids considered adults - teenages may be charged at adult prices
• Have activities for kids like colouring books, games
• Arrange a babysitter and separate space for kids if possible
• Parents of children – please keep an eye on your little ones. Their safety is priority
• It is polite to remove yourself from the ceremony or formalities if your child is upset or unsettled
• Make sure kids don’t damage any decorations or the venue (you might get a bill for loss or damage).

Jayde & Adam - 23rd March 2024
It may have been a drizzly day but that didn’t stop us from celebrating these two amazing people as they professed their love.

Jayde and Adam are such a fun and vibrant couple, oozing love and happiness.

I hope you both had the most incredible day and didn’t let some light rain dampen the fun.

I wish you both every bit of happiness and fun adventures in the years to come.

Lots of love xoxo

Does the idea of saying personal vows at your wedding scare you?

There are other ways you can share what you love and appreciate about your partner, in a more private way...

• Not say them at all. They aren’t a legal requirement. You will still have to say the legal vows, but your celebrant will manage this in your ceremony.
• Write a letter or card to each other to read as you get ready
• First look or first touch
• Say your vows after you sign the paperwork
• Have a private moment after the ceremony to share your vows

Wishing you all a safe and Happy Easter!

Much love, Kate xx

Do you want to involve your guests in your wedding ceremony? Have you thought of these options:

• Flash mob reading / song / dance
• Readings / poems
• Lucky dip for witnesses or raffle tickets
• Ring bearer lucky dip
• Crowd vows
• Date night ideas from guests
• Ring warming

What a hoot these two are! I had such a fun afternoon celebrating with Grace & Jacob, their wonderful wedding party and fabulous guests.

If you are booking a dry hire venue or setting up a marquee for your wedding - you may need to hire the following:

• Power – generators – check power requirements for all suppliers & then add some buffer– power leads etc
• Lighting – for reception space / outside
• Bathroom facilities & spare toiletpaper
• Flooring or dancefloor
• Heating or cooling
• Tables / chairs / plates / cutlery / napkins / glassware / linen
• Coolroom
• Bins & rubbish bags
• Tools/ lighters, serving utensils / platters
• Bar / esky or buckets and ice
• Catering & drinks / staff
• Decorations
• Mic & PA for speeches
• Additional furniture (outside, lounge area etc)
• Kitchen facilities -chat to caterers about the venue so they know what they need to bring and quote
• Marquees - are able to peg into the ground or are weights needed?

Don't forget - when do you get access, when do you have to be out and venue cleared?

After 15 wonderful years together, Simone & Tremayne decided it was finally time to officially tie the knot.

They had a lovely intimate ceremony under the shade of the beautiful trees.

Congratulations to you both and I wish you every bit of happiness in the years ahead with your handsome son.

Annabelle & Nicolas - 2nd March 2024

In the bustling chaos at their local KFC, Annabelle & Nicolas collided like magnets of opposite poles. Their first encounter was a clash of wills, fired by misunderstandings and quick judgments.

Yet, amidst their initial friction, a curious spark flickered to life and now the rest is history.

These two cuties with their handsome son, surrounded by their nearest and dearest, said I Do on the same property where their promise of forever began.

Picking cakes & desserts:🎂🍩🍪

What size cake do you need? Talk to cake maker, they know best!

Do you want to have cake for everyone? Maybe only allow to cover 80-90% of guests as not everyone wants cake

Alternative ideas:
• Cheese cake – giant wheels of your fave cheese
• Donuts / cupcakes / cookies / cream puffs / candy bar
• Build your own sundae stations / fruit or dessert platters
• Ice-cream or gelato
• Macarons / croquembouche / churros or cannoli
• Giant pavlova / mini cakes for each table

Note: you don’t have to cut your cake at the reception. Consider cutting your cake after the ceremony to share with guests

Megan & Nathan - 1st March 2024

Who would have thought that Megan & Nathan would have found love at work... I know they didn't!!

Look at them now, officially married and very much in love with their beautiful family.

We weren't sure an outdoor ceremony was going to happen with the weather forecast and storms that covered the area on Thursday, but we hit the jackpot!!

Wishing you both a wonderful life filled with adventure, love, fun and of course your beautiful girls xx

I had a lovely afternoon celebrating two wonderful people as they shared their love with their family & friends.

Sooty’s Spot at Browns Creek, between Millthorpe and Blayney is a stunning location for your outdoor wedding. It has a lovely converted shearing shed and plenty of space to put up a marquee.

Not sure how to develop your wedding day timeline? Here are some ideas on what to include/think about.
📷What time does the photographer finish? Work backwards from this to allow some time for some dance floor shots etc.
💄Hair/ Makeup, how long is needed for each person? – ask your MUA
🚗Travel time to ceremony.
💕Ceremony duration – legals only vs custom
📷Are you having a group photo post-ceremony?
👨‍👩‍👦How many family photos do you want to get after the ceremony?
🌇How long are you planning to go get wedding party/couple photos?
☀️What time is sunset?
🏘️Is the reception at another location from the ceremony? Travel time
⏰What time you are joining the reception?
🎵Do you have specific entrances? Wedding party, Couple etc
🍴Are you having canapes/happy hour or entrees/mains/desserts?
🧹Do you need to allow time for meals to be cleared?
🎤How many speeches are happening? Splitting throughout the evening?
🎂Are you cutting the cake?
👯Are you doing first dances?
🚪What time does your reception need to conclude?
