Arranging funeral flowers for my uncle was a tender and heartfelt task. Each bloom was chosen with care, reflecting his warmth, kindness, and the memories we shared. The rich red roses symbolised deep love and respect, while touches of his favourite colours brought a personal touch. The tradition of throwing the bridal bouquet dates back centuries and has its roots in European customs. It was believed that touching the bride or her attire would bring good luck, so guests often tried to grab a piece of her dress or flowers. To avoid this, brides began tossing their bouquets as a distraction, allowing them to make a quick getaway.

Over time, this evolved into a fun and symbolic tradition. Today, the bouquet toss is seen as a playful ritual where the single woman who catches the bouquet is believed to be the next in line to marry. It adds excitement to the wedding festivities and creates a memorable moment for both the bride and her guests.
