“I just want a Short and Sweet ceremony” is something that I hear a lot. Some other words such as Simple, Fun, Small, No Frills and No Fuss are very common.
What do they all mean? They mean different things to different people. They are perhaps the most misunderstood words in the English Language. This is because they are all relative to our own individual concepts. For example , my concept of “Small” may be very different to yours.
It is really important when couples and Celebrants meet, that the conversation and descriptions are clearly understood by both parties to avoid any confusion or conflict later.

7 handy tips for a summer wedding.

1 Do not assume that it won’t rain , even in summer.
Do have a Plan B in place just in case of rain.
2. Do not be late arriving to the ceremony.
Do think about the comfort of your guests who have been waiting for you in the sun
3. Do not forget to eat something before the ceremony begins.
Do keep a few crackers or Museli bars handy to nibble while hair is being styled.
4. Don’t leave home without the Aerogard or something similar.
Do find one that doesn’t smell too much as it could overpower your perfume.
5 Do not allow yourself to get dehydrated .
Do have some cool water or Gatorade etc handy to keep you cool and refreshed.
6. Do not drink too much alcohol before the ceremony.
Do you know that your Celebrant cannot marry you if they believe you are unable to give informed consent.?
7. Don’t forget to get permission from the appropriate authorities for a Park or Beach wedding.
Do check to see if Public liability insurance is included or required for your outdoor event.

Sadly there will come a time when you have to say goodbye to your faithful friend, and the sorrow will be as great then as it would be for a human family member.

So you are married now! Congratulations! The next question is whether or not to change your name It can definitely be a challenging situation, since sometimes one partner might feel one way and the other partner might not agree, not to mention when family members start weighing in and don't agree with your decision; but in the end it is what works best for you as an individual and as a couple. Miss or Ms does not have to be Mrs. Mr can change his name to his wife's if that works for him; OR you can both agree to something completely different and register a legal name change with your state BDM.
