Thank you to all the people behind the scenes who made the recent Amaroo Peace and Wellbeing event such a success!
Over 60 companies were contracted, and a further 60+ locals employed in administration, housekeeping, grounds and maintenance, turning Ivorys Rock into a small town for the week long convention.
2,500 from 55 countries attended with over 500 people volunteering.

The campers got two lovely little visitors 🐨🐨 this week. Thank you to Janet Wallace who is here from Canada 🇨🇦 for the Amaroo Peace and Wellbeing event. Amaroo means ‘ a beautiful place’ in one of the indigenous languages and Ivorys Rock is indeed beautiful!

We would like to update you on significant developments in regards to the Inland Rail project.

Last week the Government released to the public the Inland Rail Review Report, announcing it has accepted all of its recommendations, as reported recently in Australian media. These recommendations are likely to reduce the impacts of the completed rail project on Ivory's Rock.

While it is encouraging news for Ivory’s Rock, we will continue to monitor developments and to advocate for our interests, and for those of the local community and the protection of the fauna and flora of this beautiful environment.
