1️⃣ THE DRESS
Attire was super important and a high priority for Teagan and Dan. Teagan explained that she didn't want a bouquet to detract from her dress and even a petite bouquet could be too much...

2️⃣ ABUNDANT CEREMONY SETUP ➡️ SWIPE TO SEE!
We had single stem white roses lining the aisle, and abundant ground florals...
so adding bouquets runs the risk of the ceremony looking visually 'busy'

3️⃣ THE OVERALL VISION
The ceremony was cohesive one the overall vision was elegant, clean and mod - so single stems worked in this context.

*Stress reliever - you don't need to know terminology or anything about flowers! 🤯

Focus on expressing your vision with descriptive words. For example, envision a whimsical style with terms like "organic like a flowing garden" or a bold and vibrant style with words like "striking, vibrant, eye-catching." An example would be describing your dream look, such as "clean aesthetic, lots of white, and single stem white roses in bud vases" - such an easy way for us to understand a modern minimalist style.

2️⃣TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS:
Pick a floral designer who communicates well, has a portfolio of images that match your vision, and operates a legitimate business (contracts, insurance, registered business, invoicing system etc).

Avoid choosing solely based on the lowest price—remember, "cheap for a reason."

And prioritise transparency to ensure you're educated about your budget and to avoid any letdowns on your big day.

The alter is an incredibly important element of a wedding ceremony, but let's take a moment to think about the bigger picture and why aisle flowers make an impact...

Here is a list of the clear differences between the roles...

You may find that some vendors overlap - a wedding coordinator can also be a wedding designer/stylist etc. Check your contracts, ask the questions!

Here is an overview of the different roles:

VENUE COORDINATOR:
The primary responsibility of a venue coordinator is to ensure the smooth ex*****on of weddings at your venue. It is important to remember the venue coordinator works for the venue, not for you...

FULL SERVICE PLANNER VS WEDDING PLANNER
A Full Service Planner is a one stop shop for planning, designing, coordinating and styling. They conduct everything from the early stages of planning, right through to the ex*****on of the wedding day! WIN WIN! But be prepared to pay an investment (its worth it though!)

A wedding planner on the other hand can be seen as a person that lays the foundations for you. They manage the logistics and planning. Typically, they focus on securing your venue, selecting your vendors and budget management.

WEDDING COORDINATOR:
They are responsible for finalising all details, confirming vendors, creating your wedding timeline, rehearsal management, & overseeing the ceremony/reception setup.

WEDDING DESIGNER:
A wedding designer specialises in curating the visual and aesthetic aspects of a wedding. Their primary focus is to transform your vision and style into a cohesive and visually stunning experience. They are experts in design principles, colour palettes, decor and ambiance.

WEDDING STYLIST:
The wedding stylist works at your venue, on the day of your wedding to implement the overall aesthetics and decor elements, provided by the wedding designer.

Please don't ghost your wedding vendors! Here is why 👇

Firstly, we don't get paid for a lot of the work we do! Wedding florists, in particular take several hours to quote you. This is because every wedding is different (most of us don't offer packages!) - Why? Because no two weddings are the same...

We do stem counts, ensure accurate pricing with our wholesalers (prices change weekly due to supply/demand/seasonality), then calculations of the cost for each arrangement based on the stem count, cost price and labour time etc!

At the end of the day, 99.9% of wedding vendors want the best for you! A simple email reply letting us know you have decided to go in a different direction is appreciated.

It may feel icky and awkward at first, but I have personally responded to every single vendor I am not going ahead with for my own wedding...

And this was the result...

Every vendor has been thankful I have let them know, and I have not had one single vendor challenge this!

This allows the vendor to not be left wondering, and this also allows them to open their books for potential clients on your date!

Show respect for the vendors that put in their time to helping you!
