With a heavy heart, I have made the difficult decision to close my business, Wild At Heart Picnic Co, after four years of operation. Balancing the arrival of a new baby in May, I find myself unable to dedicate the necessary time and energy to sustain it. What started as a small project four years ago grew astoundingly, delivering over 300 picnics to thousands of customers across Perth. I cherished every moment and the friendships I made along the way.

As 2024 approaches, my family is embarking on a significant journey, planning a move and anticipating the arrival of another little boy to our tribe. Taking time off from my work as a special needs teacher and from my business, I will embrace motherhood and bond with my little ones. Yet, I cannot extinguish the creative spark within me. Therefore, I have plans to launch a new business venture (at a much smaller scale) by the end of 2024.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to my loyal customers and fellow business owners. The people of Perth have shown me immense love and support as I navigated the challenges and learned the ropes of entrepreneurship.

While it is farewell for now, stay tuned for an exciting surprise at the end of the year. Please continue to follow along.

The picnic season is upon us! 🤍

Our apologies everyone if we are delayed in our responses 🙏

We are trying to keep up with new customer enquires, bookings, invoicing, cleaning, packing, bla, bla plus trying to be mummies 💁‍♀️

We love our picnics and more importantly our customers 🤍

So please be patient, especially from Friday to Monday when we are out flexing our (tiny) muscles all over Perth, setting and packing down picnics.

If you see two incredibly hot looking mumma’s, well that’s not us, we are the two flying around in a ute and trailer with some badass 90’s music cranking at a very low decibel.

Give us a wave, and possibly some water and snacks and please don’t watch me when I reverse the trailer 🙈

I swear when no one is watching, I am an expert at reversing it; however, when people watch……well there was this one time that I reversed it up a kerb, managed to unhitch it and then drove off without the damn thing, snapping the chain and leaving it perched nicely on someone’s kerb.

I was thinking “Damn this is a lovely day” till I looked in the rear view mirror and to my shock and horror realised I had no trailer 😱😱😱

Oh and there was this other time I didn’t hitch it properly and it came off and flew through our garage door, but like I said to my partner “That garage door was looking pretty old anyway, I just sped up the process”

I am not sure why he doesn’t speak to me sometimes 🤷‍♀️🤔

Picnics darling! That’s where you can wine and dine with your friends in the beautiful sunshine. Save a tonne of money on hiring a venue and paying for their food and drinks, when you can source your own and bring it along with you!

Tableware 🤍 Don’t settle for paper plates people! Dine like a Queen 👑 and damn well enjoy it! You mush that chocolate cake all over your plate and no need for you to lick your knife and fork, as guess what……for once you don’t have to do the dishes! 🙌 You just get to stand up and walk off into the sunset 🤍 We do all the cleaning and packing away for you 👌🤍
