💚Although I love meeting new people and having a good chinwag🥰, on camera, I do actually prefer to hide behind a bunch of flowers!!
🩵You have probably noticed from previous posts and stories that my life evolves around flowers (duh!), coffee, sea & sunshine... and lots emojis and exclamation marks!!! 🤣 But, I have to mention, it also evloves around my 3 teenagers and my gorgeous husband, who is often roped into setting up your wedding flowers and doing the heavy lifting (and doesnt get paid!)!💪

A wedding bouquet starts from the moment a bride begins to dream of her special day!
🤍She then chats to her florist over a cuppa to see how they can make it as close to her vision as possible (along with lots of other exciting flowery stuff!).
🤍The florist writes out a flower recipe for the bouquet and works out how many stems of each variety she needs for the wedding. Works out the cost and a quote for the bride.
🤍The florist contacts her wholesalers and orders the flowers.
🤍One or 2 days before the wedding, she collects the flowers from the wholesalers.
🤍She preps the flowers - removing excess leaves, trimming stems, removing guard petals and putting them in fresh buckets of water.
🤍The florist then starts building the bouquet to reflect the bride's dream.
🤍She ties the stems together, trims the stems and then wraps the stems with ribbon or chiffon or lace or jute and ties a bow! It is now complete and ready to walk down the aisle with the bride!

Early rise this morning to go to the flower markets... I was feeling particularly mindful... in a dreamy kind-of-way!
🌄The sunrise was so golden and beautiful... setting itself up for our heatwave
🪻the flowers smelled so sweet and fresh
☕️But my coffeeeeeeee! Oh man! That was truly the best coffee I have had in a while! Coffee really is life 🤣! I think it was because I was looking forward to it SO much... and then actually thought about the flavour and savoured the taste - instead of throwing it, scorching, down my throat or forgetting to drink it, so it is cold and full of petals and twigs!!
It's 10 to 9... and I feel I have already accomplished so much - must be my caffeine-high🤣. I am about to head off for a last-minute-dot-com wedding consultation in a park... and then making corsages and buttonholes for most of the day (still school ball season!). It's a good day... they aren't always so good, coz we are human! But this one is good!

Baby Christmas Wreaths!!!! Just so cuuuuute!! A little bit of Friday night relaxing and fiddling about with some foliage and ribbons resulted in these little wreaths appearing on the Christmas table at our bookclub Christmas brunch on Saturday morning! #justforfun
