🌹🌼🍄 IMPORTANT UPDATE 🍄🌼🌹

The little ladies of my family had their birthdays this weekend. We had a Snow White theme and with it another opportunity to create themed florals with the slim pickings of summer offerings. Theming a child’s party is my idea of fun! So many craft-ortunities 😍 I’m guessing next year at age 4 I’m going to have to let her have some creative control 😜

Well into three-nager territory, honestly, I just don’t have the mental bandwidth to run a business and gentle parent. We can make do on one income and that gives me space to mindfully parent and offer more patience in raising our sensitive little soul. And take better care of myself too.

So with that I’ve decided to put a pause on Vaeda Floral & Gifts until I fulfill some personal goals and life offers me the space to resume at a more sustainable pace. I’m hoping that might be around spring 2024.

My sincere apologies to my regulars 😩 I will be back! Big thank you again to all those that have supported me over the past years. I’m forever grateful 🥰

Hello! Ive got a few potted decorated succulents for sale (no flowers sorry). I know a lot of you are worried about killing potted plants, so I’ve taken the pain out of choosing. Most of these succulents are “zebra haworthia” 🦓 They actually love to grow inside! They only need watering once every few weeks. So a perfect gift for a coworker or teachers. Unfortunately I’ve had to cancel by last flower drop 🥺 So my summer break has officially begun! 🏖️😎
Thank you for all your amazing support this year! I was nervous entering the year working exclusively from home but it worked beautifully! Thank you for making it a success for me😍
I’m looking forward to focusing on family over the summer and will be ready to jump back into things at the beginning of February to celebrate Valentine’s Day 💘 expressions of interest for V-Day order are welcomed as I will have a very limited arrangements available.

Hello lovely followers!

I’m finishing up this year a little early. I still have a few dates available to order flowers which I’ll list below..

Mum life has thrown the next side-quest to level up at 😅 Vaeda’s dropped her last nap and is wanting to start using the potty. So I need to hold space for lots of big feelings and extra patience.

Coming up to 3, shes got a firm handle on what Christmas is all about now (we actually put our tree up on the weekend 🙈🙊).
So we want to do ALL the fun things this year 😍 and ease into Christmas as stress free as possible.

Thankfully protea and native flowers tend to have a break over our hot summers too, so I’m taking a cue from them. I’ll be back February 1st ready to take Valentines orders 💘

The last days I’ll have available to collect flowers are:

I’ll have $35 and $60 king protea wrapped posies available

💐 Friday 10th - 12th November
Limited jar posies. But plenty of $35 and $60 wrapped posies available

This is not particularly flower related - but I recently discovered the joy of FINDING painted rocks with my 2.5yr old. She was so thrilled with the discovery 😍 the painted rock was safely nestled in her hand for a solid 36hours, naps bedtime and all. Having a child and hyper local business really connects you with your community. Ive started painting my own rocks with the hope to spread a little of the joy we found with our community. It might be a few weeks until my first rocks are released into the wild. But if you do happen to find one please share a picture of your find to my Vaeda Flora page 😍 Then it’s up to you if you wanna keep it (forever or a holiday) or rehide it for someone else to discover.

These $35 wrapped posies are full of long lasting bright Protea & Native flowers. They look amazing for at least 2 weeks then you can hang them for an everlasting dried arrangement. 👋 Hi. I’m Averil. I’m a lover of natives and protea flowers, and a creative soul with a passion for gardening. I’m a stay at home / work from home mum to 2.5yr old Vaeda.

Previously a graphic designer, I fell into floristry when our renovated verge garden blessed us with an abundance of protea flowers, greenery and other natives I had planted. I started selling home grown posies and things quickly escalated 😁 A lot of my followers remember me for my stall at Kingsway Markets, but these days I work exclusively from my home studio in Marangaroo.

I have fresh arrangements available every Friday Morning until sold out (usually by Sunday). You’re also welcome to preorder flowers for specific dates.

My weekly go to’s are my $20 and $30 jar posies and $35 wrapped posies. I am also happy to create to your budget (over $30)

I’ve done a conservative buy this week as last week was huge! And I need to keep my “busyness” levels in check so I can be a present mother👌🏼.
Like a lot of creative souls, I have a habit of burning myself out 🔥😵‍💫. Something I’m mindfully extinguishing 😌

$20 small jar posies! These sell out each week so make sure you pre- order or get in early. These little ladies are packet full of colour and have been very popular recently for table arrangements for birthdays and baby shower lunches. They are made to view from the front as default, however if you are looking to use them for table arrangements make sure you let me know so I can adjust them to look lovely from all angles.
If you’re thinking of ordering for your event, September is booking up fast and I’m now taking bookings for October, November.
I also offer larger $60 table arrangements featuring 3 proteas with the usual smaller flowers and foliage I like to use. Great for weddings and engagement parties
