I get lots of requests for a recipe for the cacao that I serve at the beginning of my events, cacao meditation.
So here it is!
If you have not heard about cacao, raw, minimally processed cacao contains some amazing health benefits for your entire body.
Raw cacao is actually qualified as superfood! So great to add to your berry smoothie for indulgent twist!😍
In addition to its massive supply of antioxidants, and over 300 powerful and unique phytochemicals, it also is rich in nutrients including magnesium, iron, potassium, calcium, zinc, copper, and manganese. Add to that protein, carotene, thiamine, riboflavin, sulphur, flavonoids, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids.
The perfect balance of all these elements work synergistically to create amazing healthy benefits throughout the body!

So you ask, why do I serve it before meditation...

By having a few sips of ceremonial cacao before meditation from a beautiful handmade ceramic cup, we create a holistic experience that nurtures the body, mind, and spirit, enhancing the overall benefits of the practice.
However, there are different grades and types of cacao, so choose wisely.
I recommend organic, Ceremonial grade, which means cacao that has not been roasted or processed beyond what is necessary to make it safe for human consumption. I personally use cacao paste from Cacao Collective. It is easy to use and available online and in some health food stores.
