The Smooch 💋

I always advocate for three different smooches in your ceremony.

The first one happens with me close by just before your signing. I tend to stay nice and close so you know what to expect and feel safe and sound.

The second happens after your signing and just before you walk down the isle together. I will be off to the side by this point to make sure your photos look perfect.

The third and final is about 3/4 of the way down the isle, with your friends and family in celebration and confetti in the air! Do check in with your photographer about this last one though so I don't get in trouble!

P. S if you want to sneak in extra kisses that is also permitted.

The long walk 👀

I've always wondered what it must feel like for a bride or groom to make their entrance and take the long walk down the aisle.

For some, I imagine it's a fairytale moment, with all their family and friends looking on lovingly.

For others though, I'm sure it can be nerve wracking.

I'm a big believer in creating a ceremony that is going to be authentic to your style and create an enduring loving memory.

So if the long walk feels daunting, why not shake it up by appearing from behind the arbour, starting the ceremony already there, or perhaps taking the walk with your partner to be. The only thing that is for certain, is you have options!

One year anniversary 💐

A very happy one year of marriage has passed with my beautiful wife and I. We've had a lot of developments since then, but our love has always been the main story line.

I remember planning the wedding to be a very stressful experience. I was so grateful to those vendors who really went out of their way to make my life easy. I've definitely taken a lot of inspiration from both the incredible Belinda Clinton - Celebrant + MC and the team at Guildhall Event Space in my approach to celebrancy and making weddings as smooth as possible!

A Sucker for Love 💕💕

So what's in a name?

When I was thinking anout my approach to celebrancy, I wanted something to really capture myself. My name seemed obvious but after talking it through with a friend, we agreed it needed a little more *spice*.

I thought about how love makes me feel and how magical I find it hearing the stories of people finding each other in the universe. It started to make me feel all goey inside and I thought, geez I really am a sucker for this stuff.

So there you have it, Jake Bahri, a Sucker for Love.

Laughs are non-negotiable ❌

I will never understand why so many weddings become solemn and overly serious affairs.

It's a time to celebrate and soak up some of the most loving and wonderful energy the universe has on offer.

So yes, having a good laugh and enjoying the moment is a non-negotiable from me!
