Bridal STYLES - Part 6: The Princess Silhouette - my guide on who can wear it and who can't.
You CAN if...
✨ Hourglass Figures: If you want to flaunt those curves! The fitted bodice and flowing skirt of a Princess gown can beautifully accentuate your figure.
✨ Pear & Inverted Triangle Figures: The full voluminous skirt is great for creating an illusion of balance between your shoulders and hips. The Pears can add some off-the-shoulder details, whilst the Inverted Triangles should stick to the strapless, halter or thin straps up top.
✨ Hopeless Romantics: If you've always envisioned a storybook wedding, a Princess gown brings that fairytale magic to reality.
You CAN"T if...
❌ Minimalist Tastes: If you prefer simplicity, a Princess gown might feel too extravagant. Consider sleeker silhouettes like A-lines or sheaths.
❌ Petite Statures: While it can work, the full skirt might overwhelm some petite frames. Look for designs with lighter fabrics or a slimmer silhouette.
❌ Casual Settings: Planning a beach or outdoor wedding? A Princess gown might not suit the relaxed vibe. Opt for something flowy and light instead.

👰🏼As a bride-to-be have you considered having a bridal CAPE instead of a veil?
I am currently designing a 4 piece set for a custom bride and we're having so much fun looking at the different cape options to match her bridal outfit!
There are quite a few inspirational elements that we don't want on the skirt and crop top, so we're bringing them into the cape to add a bit of drama but leave her with a more minimalist bridal look for later in the day!
The cape will clip on to oversized puff sleeves in a structured organza fabric. The sheerness of the organza will ensure that the sleeves don't dominate but rather enhance the overall effect we're wanting to create!

Bridal STYLES - Part 3: The Fit & Flare ✨️
This style is best suited to the HOURGLASS figure, but I do have a few ways to make it look amazing for the PEAR and RECTANGLE shapes as well!
✨️The HOURGLASS: have fun with this style as you accentuate your balanced curves and small waistline.
✨️The PEAR: To balance out your smaller bust/shoulders to hip ratio, you can add some lovely off the shoulder drapes or puffy sleeves to create more volume on your top half.
✨️The RECTANGLE: If you love this style you can add a belt or use clever seam lines to create the illusion of a smaller waist.

1️⃣ Straight neckline, fitted to just past the waistline ~ to accentuate the waist that little bit more.⌛️
2️⃣Slight sweetheart neckline, also fitted to just past the waistline.
3️⃣A deeper sweetheart neckline with a modern "V" waistline dip.
MORE OPTIONS:
~ All 3 styles can be made in a lace of your choice or with the plain fabric.
~ Centre back closure can be a "Lace-up" of your choice (think out the box here, with maybe a colour tulle into a large BOW)🎀
~ Centre back closure can be a ZIP with optional pearl, crystal or covered buttons.
~ All styles can be made into a shorter CROPPED version.

My 3 TIPS for a FUN Bridal shopping experience...
1️⃣ Choose one or two people that you trust has YOUR best interests at heart and not their own, to join you for your bridal appointments. Too many opinions can leave you feeling more confused than when you started, "LESS IS MORE" can ring true here!
2️⃣ Do your research (or ask me) and know what STYLES work for your figure and proportions (we're all quite different). This way you're not too swayed with your well-meaning besties or sales staff on the day!
(P.S. The bridal stylists @bridalbyaubreyrose are AMAZING 🙌 and well trained to help you.)
3️⃣ Allow enough TIME 🗓️ for your wedding dress to be designed or ordered roughly 6-8 months, and then another 2-3 months for alterations if you're opting for the RTW dresses. 12-18 months relieves the "Stress of the Dress" and allows for a FUN bridal experience.

Here's my 3 TIPS to help all #bridestobe as we all know "Wedding dress shopping is like trying on 50 different personalities." 😂
1️⃣ Start shopping early. It can take several months (8-12) to find the perfect wedding dress, so start shopping early. This will give you plenty of time to find a dress that you love and if not to go the Custom route!
2️⃣ Don't be afraid to ask questions. The bridal stylist is there to help you, so don't be afraid to ask questions about the dresses, the process, or anything else that you're not sure about.
3️⃣ Have fun! Wedding dress shopping is a special experience, so have fun with it! Enjoy trying on different dresses and finding the perfect one for you.
