" I’m Katharina – florist, business owner, mum of two humans, nine chickens and several foster cats. Located in Perth (SoR), Flower Nation grew from the seeds of my passion for sustainability, textures and weddings, and has blossomed into a multi-award winning business since it was first founded in 2011.

I specialise in floral styling that is not only gorgeous, but also ethical, eco-friendly and efficient.

The Flower Nation difference is that I do not simply provide flowers, but complete table and venue styling so that you don’t have to worry about multiple vendors, organising deliveries and excess costs — instead, you can relax and enjoy your day! This week I planned and hosted a Celebration of life for a family member that had recently passed away.

We knew our loved one as an absolute foodie, who would not want us sitting around sad but instead eating and sharing stories and celebrating his incredible life.

It started with a ceremony , where our dear friend held a space that was so warm and caring, allowing some family to share eulogies and poems. We live-streamed around the world as the family reach as far as France and wales from the help of

Following this we moved into the garden for canapés and drinks while provided beautiful background music , the owner Mike from wrote a special banquet menu from the heart and we all sat on a long table to share stories and feast .

We finished with tea, coffee and welsh cakes (an essential for the welsh heritage) and watched photos being played on the screen.

We donated all the flowers to a local nursing home so they could enjoy them.

I’m sharing this purely because it meant so much to bring together such an important moment, in all my years in events I knew they have impact but I didn’t realise I could change the way we say goodbye into one that is warm, and loving and full of heart.

Guess what we hear in EVERY planning meeting?!

When we meet with our couples for our big planning meeting 6 months out we chat over everything such as timing, floorpan logistics and styling concepts and we always hear something along the lines of 'Is this what's normally done' , 'Is there a set way it should run' or similar.. Essentiallly asking us what are the wedding rules.

And we always answer the same way, there are absolutely no rules! We will always recommend the smoothest way for the day to flow while incorporating in all the special and unique elements you ask of us.

Just remember, it is your day, and you can have it however you want, but working will us will ensure its calm, easy and flows like a dream!

We are known for creating really romantic, timeless and classic looks that won't go out of date when you look back on your day, there isn't a particular colour but more the finished result that sets us apart.

As stylists, we can work with any vision brought to us by our couples, we love a challenge and working with new ideas and getting super creative.
