IT'S THAT TIME!!

This is the first year in 3 years we have a tree. It's my parent's tree. Complete with all of mum's decorations, minus the tinsel, she loved the glitter and tinsel it sparkled just like she did. She feels so near yet so far, we will celebrate in her honour, which includes listening to Jim Reeves' Christmas album!!

Whatever it is you are celebrating this month, The Morrison Collaborative wishes you joy, peace and happiness as we near the end of 2024.

I'm taking a short break from ALL the things, to reset and enjoy not being in a routine! I will be closed from Monday 16 December 2024 until Sunday 12 January 2025. Enquiries will be responded to when I return.

Thank you for the love and support, recommendations, collaborations and the much needed conversations this year. It has been wild!!

L & S - 22.11.2024

The wedding of L & S has been one of the highlights of my year so far! I arrived with my sneakers on, wheeled my equipment cart in and set up for a glorious celebration of love. These are the only two pictures I managed to take, but I will forever remember this ceremony for so many reasons such as;

- The stunning bride and the look of pride she had when her sons were giving her away (and one of the boys handing the groom a cheeky tissue).
- Plus the look on the groom's face when he turned around and saw his wife to be for the first time, he could not have been happier!

There were so many pure and tender moments throughout the day, which reminded me of why I love doing this so much. So, thank you L & S for being you and showing us what love means to you both, it was an honour to celebrate with you.

WEDDING CRASHERS...FAIL!

Our weekend lunch date at Sandalford Wines in the valley had us feeling as though we were on a girls trip down south, away from the hustle and bustle from the city. Lush green vines, the smell of wood burning and the fresh cool breeze blowing was perfect for a Saturday afternoon.

We were privileged to witness a glamourous wedding taking place at the same time and I won't lie, I did strike up a conversation with a few of the guests and asked them to check that our names weren't on the guest list!!

There were 17 tables set up for 250 guests, adorned with floral centerpieces, from the ceiling floral arrangements to the floral arbour as the backdrop for the bridal table, it literally looked like a fairy tale set up. So many candles were being lit and I can imagine the reception would have been just as lit! I was told there was a DJ and choreographed dance on the agenda for entertainment and yes, I did try to tell the guests I was a part of the dance group to see if I was a chance to get onto the guest list. It didn't work! I then pulled the "I am a Celebrant" line, however the couple were already married and taking photos so I was of no use to anyone, still didn't work!! 😅

I am not cut out to be a wedding crasher! The only photos I was able to take was of our lunch, which was delish by the way. Sandalford is definitely on my list of recommendations of places to visit!
