Grief is love with no place to go 💜

It’s with an incredibly heavy heart that I share the unexpected and devastating news of mam’s passing while we were on holiday, here in the UK. This trip was about togetherness, family, laughter and of course Christmas, her favourite time of year. Sadly, mam left us peacefully on Christmas Eve.

As a florist, I’ve created countless sympathy arrangements for others, hoping to bring a small measure of comfort during their hardest times. I never thought I would be creating mam’s flowers so soon, a bittersweet moment to honour my absolute rock through the power of flowers. She was my greatest supporter, cheerleader and warrior, the bravest woman in my world actually.

I want to thank everyone for coming to the farewell service of faith & love yesterday and to those in Australia who were with us from afar. Your kind words, messages, memories and support mean the world to me, my dad, my brother, my husband, my sister in law and of course M**s cherished grandbairns during this incredibly difficult time. Your love has reminded me that even in the darkest moments, community and compassion is everything.

Due to the heartbreaking circumstances, I extended my UK trip until the end of January. Thank you for your patience, I understand my admin is bursting at the seams but I will get back to you flower lovers eventually, easing myself into reality from the beginning of February. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Mam, you were my world and I will carry your memory, your laugh, your singing, your honesty, your bravery, your nurture and kindness with me.

When I said it was my last festive flower club at the weekend, I lied…

Thanks to your support through workshop ticket sales, I was able to host a special festive flower club for aged care residents. With the help of my Christmas Elf (my son Noah) we brought joy and connection to our elders, celebrating Christmas through creativity and community.

Flower Clubs are all about providing experiences that nourish the soul and mind. Playing with nature, coming together, and creating something beautiful for their rooms uplifted everyone. The highlight was when we all started singing Christmas carols together—pure joy!

A heartfelt thank you to all the Flower Club lovers who made this possible. Giving back is so important and has always been a key component of my business, what a beautiful way to end the flowering year. Merry Christmas from my family to yours - Jo 🎄

This week has been a treat, filled with workshops, weddings & events - Thanks for having me ! Today’s lineup is the last festive flower club at the beautiful and what a way to end the flowering year.

🎄 Festive Flower Club 🎄

It’s the venue that sells out in a heartbeat and this is why… This quaint little gem in the heart of Lesmurdie is the absolute perfect location for a workshop and once again it did not disappoint. Not forgetting, to enhance the experience, I was joined by the ever so talented

Last year I received some feedback from my lovely customers who requested I bring forward the wreath workshops so their wreath was up in their home from the start of the season and I’m so glad I listened! Weather was beautiful without being too hot, most are beginning to start or think about their Christmas decorations, we aren’t yet sick of Christmas songs 😉 and in Nov it’s not too hectic with Christmas events and parties… it was perfection!

So thank you for the feedback, thank you for once again purchasing a ticket to the ever so popular falls farm festivities, approximately 50% were returning workshop customers which is just AMAZING. So lovely to see old and new faces 🤍

Three years ago TODAY I took a chance and pushed the live button on my website, my garage turned into a wreath making factory. I remember thinking at the time, once Christmas is done that will be it and I was content with the fact that my passion would come alive at special occasions only.

Fast forward to today - I am creating & delivering Tues-Sat from my Perth Hills studio. To see my passion and hard work recognised through customer loyalty, customer reviews, a business award, increased workshop ticket sales, increased wedding bookings and referrals blows my mind on a daily basis.

Whilst I am forever learning and trusting the direction, I really am pinching myself at how far The Flower Club has came since the backyard biz it was. It really is down to all of you who put their trust in me to create, to share and to deliver through flowers, workshops and weddings.

3 years ago I needed something for myself, I needed a creative outlet, I had so much more to give. We experienced covid, my mum got her dreaded diagnosis and I was approaching 40. 3 years ago I simply thought f* it, what’s the worst that can happen. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE, for making The Flower Club what it is today 🤍

‘Tis the season and I’m excited !

It’s official: My wreath workshops start THIS WEEKEND so I thought it was only right to update you all of the opening hours over the festive period.

Whilst November is jam packed with Festive flowers clubs, I will be closed during these dates due to much needed family time in the UK (Get ready for holiday spam 🌲🧑‍🎄❄️).

Finishing the week with this custom made, statement piece was pretty epic. I love it when customers inspire me to take my designs further, larger, more drama, more luxury.

As a florist who LOVES variety, I couldn’t be more excited about taking on the challenge and it got me thinking about transforming spaces, homes and workplaces with statement florals in stunning vessels (without the packaging).

Well and truly thrilled. With your help I am able to donate a Flower Club to local aged care residents this Christmas and I couldn’t be prouder.

It’s always been a HUGE priority for me to give back to the community and give those who may feel lonely, a chance to connect with others through nature.
