Starting this weekend Variety WA will be setting off on a 10,000km EV adventure in a model Y and model 3 kindly loaned by Tesla. TOCWA are also helping out by loaning spare tyres, charging cables and Australia’s most experienced long distance EV driver (not me..😂). To see both cars up close a presentation to the public will be held in Forrest Place this Friday morning between 9.45am and 11.00am. If you work in the City or have the morning free please drop in and say hello to the drivers and TOCWA Committee members that are helping out with getting the cars in place.

We took a group photo with the whole fleet before our Model 3 (Pearl) left with her new owner this afternoon.

Left-to-Right
2021 Model 3 Pearl - 118,000kms
2022 Model Y Ruby - 99,000kms
2017 Model X Snow White - 164,000kms (bought with 115,000)
2023 Model Y Frosty - 40,000kms

A few rough numbers:
Over 300,000 km's completed in 3.5 years across the fleet (mainly 1 full-time, one part-time driver).
Approx 18,000L / $36,000 of fuel saved, enough to fuel a 747 for about an hour.

25% household solar charged, 75% charged from our coal-based WA grid, still resulting in much lower emissions than fuel-based vehicles

I was driving a client and his family to the airport a few weeks ago. They were going to Japan for a snow trip, and I mentioned the Green Tea KitKats that I used to enjoy. ( Tim Oliver used to bring some to RFLAN - Redflag Lanfest )

In November, Garry chauffeured Genevieve and her lovely Singaporean family around the fabulous South-West region for 6 days.

Down South, we visited popular tourist destinations including Margaret River, Bunbury and Dunsborough.

Returning to Perth, we toured the Swan Valley, Kings Park and Whiteman Park.

In addition to driving the family in our 7-seat Model X, Garry also captured memories at each location for the family to treasure. ❤

It was an amazing trip and we're looking forward to running more of these experiences.

In December, We caught up with Kaye and Rob at Core Cider House for the IQPC Christmas Party. Parking next to their baby, a Chevrolet Corvette, the size difference of the Model Y is apparent, and I couldn't help but take a photo of the two beauties.

Although the streamlined body is similar to the Model 3, the Model Y is wider and longer than a Rav4 (slightly lower though), and about the same dimensions as a Porsche Macan.

Our Tesla Model X recently transported a family of 4 in comfort, with their 4 large suitcases and 8 carry-on cases. Six of the eight cases fit neatly into the trunk, while two of the carry-on cases got a special ride in the frunk.
