these days it is getting harder and harder to host a party where all of your friends, including you, are having a great time. it seems to take so long to prepare the food, it tastes ok but not setting the world on fire, you haven't been able to cater for your one friend who has a special dietary need and importantly you are not enjoying yourself as you are running around prepping, serving and clea

ning up. I can give you the time to enjoy your party with your friends by easing all or some of these kinks. no time to cater, I would love to take away your kink of having to prep, cook, serve and clean. I come to your home with everything I need, feed everyone delicious and memorable food and then clean up so the kitchen looks better than when I arrived. All you need to do is have a great time. oh, I can guarantee that it is some of the yummiest food that your friends will remember. what about your friend, X, who has a dietary issue, no worries I see this as a simple challenge! it is my partyosophy that everyone should be able to enjoy the same menu, there just needs to be some ingredients tweaking to make this happen. if you are up to hosting yourself or want to meet some fellow foodies come along to a cooking class. not only do you pick up some hints and tips, cook something yourself, enjoy all of the food we prepare and have a lot of fun.

alert - banana, lemon and passionfruit bread. The drizzle of icing on top adds just enough sugar to the bread to stop those cravings.

I think the only thing that would make this even better is spreading over some of my .

The edible pretties are dried confetti that I purchased from - so gorgeous. More pretty cakes to come with these and other assortment of dried flowers to come.

An for a 70th birthday 🎂

My original plan was to use the jelly with the fish swimming at the front of the cake so when you looked through it the ‘cake’ part looked like it was under the sea. Slight problem, the jelly was too dark a blue to see through! After lighting the jelly up and turning the look of the cake around, it still sort of had the same effect!

The cake itself is a white chocolate mud cake with vanilla buttercream decorated with shell chocolates, marshmallow ‘rocks’ and meringue ‘coral’. Everything was edible other than the sea creatures.

fig jam anyone? One shoe 🥿 box filled with beautiful freshly picked figs produced this much jam. I added oranges 🍊 to give it a kick! Thanks Heather & Jeff for the figs ☺️

I was thinking about my late Mum today and felt about what we used to cook together. One of my favourites was . Many a time my brother and I would get into trouble and feel a little sick after eating the cookie dough before it got to the oven!

you should always make with those leftover egg whites and this one is a cracker. I make my meringue mix using the Swiss method. Beating the egg whites and sugar over a simmering pot of boiling water and then beating in a mixer until the bowl cools. I do however add vinegar and corn flour to stabilise it, as explained in the Aussie cooking oracle the CWA cookbook! By doing so it’s perfectly marshmallowy on the inside and crunchy on the outside 😀

Topped with homemade cherry sauce, chantilly cream, fresh cherries and chocolate shavings it was a fabulous way to celebrate a new year.

so far. A gorgeous roasted peach & white chocolate roulade, pickled prawns with fennel and the start of a gingerbread town.

The peaches were roasted in honey from - so yum 🤤. Beautiful tiger prawns 🦐 from .seafood - so fresh and huge perfect for pickling.

for a special man’s 4th birthday. Inside is a white chocolate mud cake coloured red, blue and green of course with a vanilla buttercream and sprinkles. I ‘attempted’ to make a chocolate mask. Luckily glitter makes everything look good 😊

& cinnamon with bacon 🥓 and blueberries 🫐. Adding bananas to the waffle mix took them to a new level.

1 cup plain flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
Pinch of
1 dessertspoon caster sugar
2 small ripe bananas, mashed
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup milk
1 egg
20 gm unsalted butter, melted
1 dessert spoon olive oil

Preheat waffle 🧇 iron.

In a large bowl, whisk together all of the dry ingredients and in another bowl the wet ingredients including the egg and mashed banana.

Whisk the wet ingredients into the dry until just combined. Add a ladle full of mix into the waffle iron and cook for it’s required time. Mine is 7 minutes!

The recipe makes 4 waffles. Keep each one warm and then serve with maple syrup, fruit and bacon 🥓. Yum 🤤

anyone? The floral notes that the lavender adds to this is amazing. I added edible lavender as well as the lavender oil to give it a subtle but distinctive flavour which contrasts beautifully with the banana 🍌

That pinch of enhanced all of those flavours. The addition of triticale flour from adds that nutty texture and flavour too.

All in all you will want to be one of my workmates tomorrow who get to try it for themselves 😄

today is my late Mum’s birthday and the best way to remember her is to make some of her amazing signature dishes. and were on todays menu - both absolutely delicious 🤤

bacon 🥓 and egg 🥚 soup made with at least 12 vegetables 🥕. It’s so delicious 🤤 that the kids will have no idea that they are there!

chicken meatballs cooked in roasted tomato & red capsicum sauce with mushrooms, roasted potatoes and spinach. Delicious 😋 and satisfying.

for lunch today. Moroccan pumpkin & sweet potato soup with whole meal spelt mini baguettes 🥖. Delicious 🤤 and healthy. It helped to counter act all of that chocolate 😆😆😆

The specialty bread flour used was from . It’s fantastic and makes light & fluffy breadsticks every time. I used to assist in bringing out the spelt flavour.

I had some corn 🌽 in the fridge that needed to be eaten so I whipped up a corn chowder with leeks, coriander, a bit of cream topped with crispy prosciutto and guacamole 🥑. Beautiful and creamy!

#partyprep is ALWAYS a good idea! Prepping early for a party helps to keep the stress levels in check and EVERYONE including you enjoys the party 🎈 I started cooking for hubby’s big birthday party on Saturday at the beginning of the week. We have 65 guests coming! The chicken wings were scheduled to start prepping today so stage 1 is done. They are now happily marinating in the fridge waiting to be cooked again in the oven. They are looking a bit #droolworthy already! prepping for a huge party and spreading out the cooking over a week means that only a few things need to be done each day and on the night it’s more about heating and serving. Leaving more time for the hostess, me, to mingle and look fabulous 😊 the recipe for these buffalo wings can be found in my cookbook, party favs, which is available from www.fyieverybodycooks.com.au.

lockdown cooking can be a challenge but it’s a great way to go through the fridge/freezer/pantry and have a good old clean out! I have some leftover fruit mince from Christmas so I think a fruit cake is in order 😃

it’s time to parrrrtrtyyyyy! The inside is a dark chocolate mud cake with dark chocolate ganache. It’s going to taste as good as it looks 😀

duck stock in the making. It’s our wedding anniversary today so whipping up a special dinner for the hubby. Lobster salad, duck a l orange and chocolate something for dessert 🍮 the husky keeps licking her lips too as she gets to eat the duck bones later!
