Don’t rush your wedding reception! ✋
I hear it all the time, “we want to get the formalities over as quickly as possible,” but there is a price to be paid with this decision.
You enter your room, cut your cake, sit for entrée, have the first speeches, your mains, second speeches, first dance, and BOOM, the music is up, and everyone’s dancing 💃
It does sound pretty awesome, but you haven’t had a chance to socialise. Once the dancing starts, it’s hard to get around to see your guests and thank them for coming. Some are on the dance floor, some are outside, and it can just be too loud for a conversation 🥁
Give yourself pockets of time between formalities and meals to be able to get around and see everyone. You will be so thankful that you did 💕
