Congratulations to Amy and Francesca who said yes to their dream dress on the weekend! 🥂 Amy had been in to the studio a couple of months ago and found an amazing gown, but as I was her first stop she wanted to have a think about it. She couldn’t get that gown out of her mind so she came back on the weekend to try it on again and made it hers! We decided it was meant to be that it was still available! 🤍
Francesca didn’t really know what style she wanted when she first arrived, and after trying on a few different options I was able to narrow down what she was really loving in the various styles, and I picked out something that was a combination of all the things she loved about the other gowns - spoiler: it was the one! 🥰

Hi! 👋🏻 It’s been awhile, so I thought it was time for a reintroduce/update!
I’m Laura, and this is me and my little fam at my sisters wedding recently 🥰 I am also 18 weeks pregnant with baby number two, and we are very excited to be welcoming a new member of the family in October, all being well! I’ve not been feeling super fabulous this pregnancy, and I’ve been so grateful for my wonderful customers that I’ve had to reschedule recently - thank you so much for your understanding! 🤍
I always love reading “fun facts” about others, but making them fun sounds like too much pressure, so here are three somewhat dull facts about me 😅
1. I have both a truck and boat/jet ski license
2. Hot chips are my favourite food 🍟 and olives are my worst! 🫒
3. Most of my career was spent in the dental industry, then I worked at a school for a few years before making motherhood and Little Bird Bridal my full time gig, and I love the challenge and balance it brings!
When I came up with the idea for Little Bird Bridal way back in 2015 when I got married myself, my dream was to create an inviting space, with a relaxing, pressure free environment full of beautiful preloved gowns where brides could find their dream dress for less, or pass on their precious gown for someone else to love 🤍 So if this sounds like your kind of bridal store, be sure to book an appointment to come in and experience it for yourself 🥂

We lost my beautiful Grandma this weekend, but we are so grateful for all the years we were loved by her - I have been loving looking at some of the old photos of her while we reminisce, particularly of her in her stunning wedding gown in 1956 🤍
I’m unsure of the funeral arrangements yet, so I won’t be releasing my May appointments until I know what is happening and we can plan around it - but I’ll certainly be letting you know when they are available to book!

The gorgeous Katie came to my studio a few years ago (she was actually my last appointment before I went on maternity leave in 2021!) and went home with a beautiful dress - fast forward through Covid, having to change wedding plans and having a baby, Katie felt like the dress just wasn’t “the one” anymore. It happens, no judgement here! So Katie came in again on the weekend and found an absolute showstopper that ticked all the boxes! I’m so excited to see Katie finally have the perfect day she’s dreamed of soon! ✨

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - I have the best job! It was one of those jam packed, super chaotic but warm and fuzzy weekends with five beautiful brides taking home their dream dresses from Little Bird Bridal 🥰
Caitlyn (sister to one of my previous brides!) managed to score my last minute appointment and tried on one of the gowns she had seen and loved on my website - turns out it was the one! And it’s always so lovely to have familiar faces back in the studio!
Shelby had a hard choice between two stunning options, but ended up going with the one that truly made her eyes light up ✨
I had such a fun appointment with Sammy and her bride tribe who had flown in from interstate to go wedding dress shopping, and she fell in love with the wild card option - always an exciting moment with lots of tears all around! 🥹
Zoe found a dress that was just so *her* and will be absolutely perfect for what she wanted for her big day 🙌🏻
And last but not least, Lauren had so many beautiful choices that it was hard to narrow it down, but she ticked off a big “say yes to the dress” off her list with an absolute perfect mix of all the elements she wanted in her gown.

DON’T: Cut the hanging loops off your gown - especially if it is strapless! If you need to cut them off for aesthetic or comfort reasons, make sure you get them reattached before you sell your gown (particularly in a preloved boutique such as Little Bird Bridal, where gowns need to be hung). DO: Ask your photographer to get some shots of your gown without your bouquet in front - photos of you in the gown are important to show what an actual person looks like wearing the gown, so make sure the beautiful details can be seen! It won’t take any extra time or effort, so why not! Are you a bride to be and know you want to sell your gown after the big day?
