February 2022 was the date that a couple (who wish to not have their names mentioned) got married in the Jarrah Pavilion in Kings Park. The couple made up some beautiful personal vows that they declared to each other in front of a very small group of family members and friends. The day was magnificent for photos as well for them at this lovely location.
They know who they are and I wish them all the best in their future together as husband and wife.

In December 2021 I was privileged to conduct the wonderful wedding for Lauryn and Simon at UWA Sunken Garden. Lauryn entered into the processional with some bandoleers playing tunes that started the occasion on a very bright note.
A large crowd was there to help celebrate the day and they used the terraces at the back of the Sunken Gardens to get a really good set of group photos.
I wish them well and hope they have a long and fruitful marriage .

in November 2021 I was very priveledged to conduct the wedding ceremony of Sean and Alyce who were students at Rossmoyne Senior High School when I worked there a few years ago now. They had a lovely service overlooking the river at Canning Bridge next to the Canning Bridge Rowing club where they had their reception.
It was great to catch up with so many ex students at the wedding and some of the parents whom I had met through RSHS as well.
I recently caught up with Sean taking his younger one to school and he informed me that Alyce had given birth to their newest child - so a huge congratulations to both Sean and Alyce.
I wish them all the best in their marriage and hope that I will catch up with them soon to show the video that I took of the ceremony.

It seems I have been very remiss in not adding more weddings that I have conducted since October 2021. So here goes.

$360 for a very short sweet "just to get the certificate" with just 2 witnesses; $390 for Monday to Thursday weddings in the Perth Metro area, and $440 for all other times including public holidays.

To the thousands of my wedding clients I am sad to inform you that our beloved Josie dog (the Old English Sheep Dog) passed away very recently. For all who met her you might remember her as one who always wanted to greet you at the door then make sure you left after giving her a quick cuddle and rub. I calculated that she met nearly 2400 brides and grooms over the years.
We in our family miss her terribly as she was a very gentle, intelligent, considerate, loving companion.

Then in Late October 2021 I conducted the marriage for Amy and Michael and this was a VERY small but beautiful wedding. It was held at Anderson Point, Perth Hills up in Brigadoon overlooking a very scenic valley. It was a gorgeous and very private wedding venue run by husband wife team Carrie and Guy. The ceremony had no invited guests and Carrie and Guy were the witnesses and their couple's three children looked on as Mum and Dad became husband and wife. They went off to a separate location to have their reception with the other family and friends invited to celebrate the special occasion. This was truly an intimate wedding. Photography by GHPhotographer who did a great job in getting to the right positions to get the photos and the magnificent scenery backdrops.
Notice that they had a very special toilet for wedding guests nearby, out in the middle of nowhere too. A great touch.

Also in October 2021 it was my great pleasure to conduct the marriage for my daughter to her soulmate Michelle in a huge affair. They only wanted to say ”I Do” then sign but they had a lovely ceremony in front of over 100 family and friends at the shearing shed at Quarry Farm . They both waltzed down the aisle , not together of course, as they came in. They had Richard Mockford as the photographer and apparently he took over 750 photos. There were a lot of children at this family friendly party with a wedding, so Michelle and Amanda hired a Bouncy Castle that kept them amused for hours (an used up their energy also). They also had a huge lolly bar that children and adults partook in as well. Pizza and Sushi were the main ingredients from the luncheon. So after 7 hours partying at the fabulous Quarry Farm everyone when home. People came from all over the state as far north as Derby, east to Esperance and even some from South Australia.

In October 20201 I was delighted to conduct the wedding ceremony for Joel and Sarah at the wonderful Joondalup Resort in Connolly. They said their vows to each other in front of their children , families and friends in a cheerful and wonderful wedding ceremony. Their children assisted by being the attendants to Joel and Sarah, one other was the videotographer and the fourth one was the music coordinator. Even though the attendants had not rehearsed their parts the ceremony went extremely well and all to plan.
I wish them all the very best in their new lives as husband and wife into the long forever.

In September 2021 I was thrilled to conduct the wedding for Dimity and Jack at . It was a ceremony where the set up was carried out by family and friends but overlooking the beautiful Swan River as a backdrop. Dimity arrived by boat that berthed at the Point Walter jetty before she made he way down to the ceremony site. They had both made up ceremony vows to say to each other and they had kept them secret from each other. They were very moving and VERY personal. When we came to the signing of the marriage register and documents Jack and Dimity played a special song that Dimity’s father had written, performed and taped especially for the wedding. It was very moving too. They had close family members read some poems that enhanced the ceremony wonderfully. Family friends was also the photographer. Their son was also dressed up for the occasion and had his part to play in the photo sessions – front and centre.
So Dimity and Jack, all the very best for the future and thank you for the review as well. We wish you a long and fruitful marriage.

Festus and Dana had a sumptuous wedding at Fraser Suites Perth in East Perth in Late August 2021 . About 60 guests were thrilled to see Dana in her beautiful gown say her “I Do’s” to Festus and he return them in front of their lovely young daughter. The ceremony was live streamed to people around the world as well as having professional photographers and videotographers on board for this special occasion. Having the ceremony and reception at this lovely venue also meant that bridal party and guests did not have to travel anywhere to enjoy the evening. Some including Festus and Dana stayed on at the Suites .

David and Cindy celebrated their wedding at the lovely RiverBank Estate Winery & Restaurant in Caversham in front of their beautiful daughter, family and friends. It was a real pleasure for me apart from the joy in seeing a gorgeous couple get married because I have known David for about 30 years from the time that he played junior football with my son. Cindy said this day had been wished for for nearly 8 years and was very excited that it had come to fruition with the love of her life. It was lovely to catch up with family and friends I have known over the years at this wedding.

Again in early August I conducted an beach wedding at Scarborough Ampitheatre with Claudio and Catherine. They wanted and got a no fuss wedding with a ceremony that they made up with vows that they personalised just beautifully. Even though it was a cool and overcast day the bride, groom and all the guests enjoyed the excitement of this wedding. Catherine and Claudio arranged the ceremony setup themselves and of course the seating and shelter were provided by the Amphitheatre.

In early August 2021 I was graced with the request to marry N & T who needed to get married quickly at my home office and with no fuss so that they can progress their spouse visa application. They had been dating for a considerable time and had planned to get married earlier in Australia but their plans were thrown into upheaval with the Covid crisis and the ensuing restrictions. N is originally from Victoria and T from Russia. Their beautiful son was made in Russia and born here in Australia and he attended the short sweet registry style wedding where they said which was simple and did not include a lot of the items traditionally included in ceremonies. They wanted to save these intimate moments when they could celebrate in front of their families in Victoria and Russia respectively and properly. They ordered an urgent request for their WABDM marriage certificate and it was ready by the next day. No photos sorry. Just two witnesses and them .

In June 2021 I officiated over the marriage for Janet and Shane at Hillarys Yacht Club in Hillarys. A wonderful setting for the marriage out over the crystal clear waters and beautiful day for the wedding. The reception was then held inside. Together their 4 children were also active participants in the wedding ceremony in front of about 60 family and friends. Again at this wedding there was a couple whom I had married years earlier.

Late May 2021 I also conducted the marriage ceremony for Ricky and Wendy in a verrrrrry relaxed affair in front of a very small number of family members and close friends. It was at the Kings Park and Botanic Garden Water Garden Pavilion. There were lots of laughs and some tears in this short and sweet intimate ceremony. They also had to livestream the ceremony back to England where many of the family were just getting out of bed for their day. All in all a delightful send off to Ricky and Wendy on their journey together through life as a happily married couple.

In May 2021 Luke and Katelyn had a lovely outdoor wedding in the garden of the wonderful in Henley Brook. The setup was just beautiful and natural like in the garden. Katelyn and her two bridesmaids looked gorgeous in their gowns and Luke was beaming when he saw his wife to be walking up the aisle with her father. The ceremony music was provided by the amazingly groovy DJ DJ Chocolate . The photographic team of Julie Cook Photography and her husband Peter provided excellent guidance to be able to get the best photos for this once in a lifetime opportunity for Katelyn and Luke. I have worked a lot with Julie over the years and this was no exception with a very professional job done.
Anyway Katelyn and Luke, all the very best for the future and I wish you a long and fruitful marriage.

End of April 2021 Adam and Tia were married at the landing area of the magnificent Caversham House . It was only a relatively small wedding as both Adam and Tia originated from New Zealand and of course due to WA’s lockdowns many family could not make it here. Live streaming again was the order of the day to family and friends worldwide. Adam started his very personal vows with “What can I say besides thankyou... without you I would be this shy kept to himself guy ...”. Tia included in her beautiful ‘from the heart vows’ – “Adam, you are the kindest and most gentle man I know. You are so supportive, so loving, so smart, so handsome, and I am the luckiest girl on earth to be able to say that I am marrying you.” They also had a reading from a family member that was like a blessing story. Perfect for the occasion.

Late March 2021 it was my great honour to conduct the wonderful wedding ceremony for Daniel & Emily at the semi country location of Baldivis Farm Stay/Country Charm Weddings. The ceremony and reception were held at the farmstay along with the chooks, donkey, lamas and other farm animals. They had about 80 people see Emily and Daniel say ‘I Do’ under the arbour infront of their baby as well.

On 1st March, 2021 I had the privilege of conducting the for Stef and Jamie at the farm in Nambung to the North of Perth. It was a real country affair as you will see from the photos. Stef and Jamie had to postpone several times due to lockdowns. They spent a lot of time getting prepared for this theme and it was a really down to earth location in the middle of a paddock. Stef thought about arriving on her steed but at the last minute had a change of heart on that one. Jamie and the boys looked the part with their cowboy boots and huge hats. The green theme looked very impressive too for the attendants. Of course our Bride Stef looked gorgeous in her beautiful gown. Notice the cowhide table cover and where they stood for the ceremony.
Jamie, Stef and all the guests who came from all over the state celebrated in a converted shed for the reception. Many brought their swags and campervans to sleep the night off under the stars in Nambung.

In March 2021 I was privileged to conduct the wedding ceremony for Bec and Ricky. This was 10 years in the making so I was told. It was a glorious (but windy) day at the Cut at Wannanup on the outskirts of . The actual location as The Cut Tavern Bar & Bistro.
As Bec was arriving Ricky became excited and nervous at seeing the prospect of his gorgeous bride walking down the aisle. He was given plenty of advice from his guests who knew him well. However he stayed and Bec and Ricky received their rings from their two children during the ceremony which was a very special treat.

On New Years Eve at 6pm Jess and Wayde were married , by me, in front of a large and excitedly vocal group of guests. It was a lot of fun but still the formalities went off without a hitch.
It was conducted in a backyard that was set up for the occasion and there was plenty of food and drink available till the early hours of the morning. What a great way to have friends come over and celebrate a special day on the calender.
They started their ceremony off by me asking that traditional question - but to Matilda, their daughter....."Do you want Mum and Dad to get married here today". She said yes with a hug to both Jess and Wayde.
As so happens often with me I also met up with a couple who came up to me and explained that I had married them 10 years ago - on New Years Eve as well. It was lovely to catch up.
Anyway I wish Wayde and Jess all the best and hope they have a long and happy marriage.

In Dec 2020 I conducted the ceremony for a lovely professional couple who asked not to have their names or photos added onto any social media. I am always ask couples if I may (or may not) use photos from their weddings.
They had a sumptuous where they live streamed the whole ceremony to family and friends worldwide, who could not make it to the wedding due to C. The Bride's parents and grandparents were in China at this time
The wedding was held in a ball room of the Pan Pacific Perth. No expense was spared to provide a wonderful setting requested by the couple as you can see from the photos.
The second photo shows the cultural table known as Sofreh Aghd in Persian. It has numerous items that have profound meanings and symbolise great wishes for the bride and groom.
They also exchanged their wedding rings then offered honey and yoghurt, where honey symbolises bliss and sweetness in life and yoghurt represents unhappy and tough times in life.
What a wonderful evening it was and I am sure they will have many lasting memories of the ceremony and reception as they live streaming, videotaping and photographers capturing the moment.
One other thing that this couple did was to take time out before the wedding to have their bridal party photos several hours before the wedding. This way they got some beautiful restful photos as soon as they were fully prepared, then they came to the actual ceremony that started at 6pm.

IN December 2020 I conducted the lovely ceremony for Holly and Daniel who had their ceremony and reception in the grounds of Pinelli Estate Winery Restaurant in Bennet St, Caversham. This was the first time that I had conducted at this well presented location.
Holly and Daniel said their "I Do's" in front of approx 60 guests. For the ring ceremony they had two boys (5yo & 9yo) who presented the rings to Daniel and Holly and then did the Wakanda Forever salute as well that was highlight for everyone.
The whole delightful occasion was captured by the ever professional Chantelle Venter Photography who guided the bridal party and guests seemlessly to capture the best photos - because as you hear me say often "Photos last a lifetime, and you only get one shot at getting them".
I wish Holly and Daniel all the best for the future and hope they have a long and fruitful marriage.

JJ and Joe had me to conduct their wedding at at the fabulous Fraser Suites Perth . JJ was dressed in a stunning formal by Luv Bridal and looked gorgeous as she walked down the aisle to Joe to say their I Do's. Some of these photos were taken by their friend who did a great job whilst Creative Chaos Entertainment covered the whole ceremony before during and after on video. The DJ from Off The Wall Promotions provided the specially chosen tunes for during the ceremony and afterwards at the reception.
Let me reiterate what a wonderful job Fraser Suites Perth and their wedding coordinator team did in preparing the large room specially for the occasion. It is always a pleasure to work with this great team.

Later on 7th August 2020 I had the great pleasure in conducting the ceremony for Alyce and Jarden at the beautiful Sittella Winery located in the popular Swan Valley wine region. Jarden was very nervous waiting for his gorgeous bride but once he saw her he stopped shaking to realise this was it.

On the 6th November 2020 I performed a renewal of vows for Terry and Michelle at Riverside at Woodbridge Cafè & Restaurant . It was a moving celebration of their marriage and the devotion that they both had for each other. A large number of friends and family turned up to see Michelle walk down the aisle again as she had done 10 years to the day at Stirling Square in the heart of Guildford.
The Cafe itself overlooked the beautiful Swan River and it was a lovely day when they mixed with local wildlife who ventured close as well.
Wishing Terry and Michelle a long and fruitful journey again into married bliss.

Still in October 2020 I was blessed to have conducted the wedding for Natasha and Scott at Belvoir Homestead in Upper Swan. A large gathering of close friends and family saw the quite nervous Scott finally say his personalised vows to his beautiful bride, then relax somewhat.
The ceremony was held on the stage area at Belvoir which meant that the guests were able to look up and see the whole ceremony.
I wish Natasha and Scott all the very best for their journey through married life as best friends.
