My name is Ingrid Reiger and I have been a Marriage Celebrant since April 2010 and more recently I became a funeral celebrant.I chose to work in this field because I wanted to help create something beautiful and memorable for special people on important days in their lives. When they become married or when they farewell a loved one. With regards to marriage ceremonies - I love people and their sto
ries. I know each couple is unique and I love creating a ceremony based on this individuality and making you smile and enjoy your ceremony. I understand the modern bride and groom and think I can help with what you are looking for. I also believe strongly in the institution of marriage, whilst still hoping it evolves and changes with our world. I have a home office and can meet with you day or evening. I put a lot of thought into every facet of the ceremony and plan each stage with you and for you. I would love to meet with you and get to know what it is you are looking for. With regards to funerals the same ideals exist - I love people and their stories, I want to help the story of each person live on and for them to be remembered with the respect and individuality that they indeed deserve.

Had a lovely Mother’s Day with my two who made me a mum, my mother in law and sister in law who are strong and amazing mums. Missed seeing my own beautiful mum and sister today, hoping they had an awesome day. All finished off by Bretto taking us for a drive in the Hills relaxing with no cooking or chores for the day

Thank you to The Funeral Directory for this share of my recent blog post about complex grief experienced post-pandemic, fairly topical of late.
Also relates quite succinctly to an ep of the pod 🎧🎙️
Tommy’s story

In my work as a podcaster, I have had the great privilege of interviewing many individuals who have been affected by grief. Much of it, complex grief. What happens when a death is not “usual” or “expected”? What happens when things are left unsaid, you cannot be there to hug your loved on...
The numbers game for 2023…..
10 weddings 💍
101 funerals ⚰️
A huge Business Mastermind course over 6 months 🧠🧐📝✏️
17 eps of the podcast

If you haven’t listened to on Audible or read the “real” book of Matthew Perry’s memoir “Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing”, I implore you to do so. It gives a unique and raw understanding of addiction, how it is not just “partying” in Hollywood, how addiction crept into his every waking moment, his loungeroom, his very being. It’s different to what we think of as partying.
I interviewed Julia for my podcast Hashtag Death in Episode 4 back in August 2023 (linked below). She discusses in a raw way also, how her beautiful brother was an addict and the effect it had on her, her entire family and how it pulled his life apart thread by thread. Self-medicating and compensating for elements of life which are often missing, understood through the words of someone so close.
Understanding that beautiful people can be addicts and how hopefully we can listen and read to understand, is a gift hopefully Matthew’s memoir left and closer to home, Julia’s ep.
Thanks again Julia for being so honest and real in your recording. If you haven’t already, take a listen.

After my insightful conversation with Tommy - featured on next week's podcast episode of Hashtag Death, I have also added a little more depth to my own views on this via the blog ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ check it out and read about the hangover from Pandemic Loss and Grief.

My business today is 13 years old!!!!
9/10/10 and 10/10/10 I conducted my first and second ceremonies
Swipe for great imagery of Lace for gifting ON a 13th anno. As well as my 10/10/10 wedding at Sitella Winery in the Swan Valley. Still a favourite venue.

49 years ago today, these two did this.
They took a sip of champagne and celebrated. Today we do the same.
I say we, because these two, became five, then six, then more and more grandkids and now they have a legacy of many. They also have a legacy of success for us to marvel at.
A long and successful marriage you could say. As any adult child can tell you, sometimes you criticize and question your mum and dad's or guardian's relationship, marriage, the way they do things. You may conflict over "the way it was" vs "the way it is". The way they did it or do it, vs the way you would do it. But they raised individuals, and that's also what they are.
They are two unique individuals, who chose to come together in marriage and then make that marriage work, through many ups and downs over 49 years.
Unless you're within that champagne toast and that life, those shared intimate moments, you don't necessarily know what it took, what it takes every day. Just admire the bond, the closeness, the commitment for what it is.
Here's to eternity
I’ve posted a couple of photos of these two, but that’s coz they’re special 😍🫶
…….and here’s me!!!! Waiting and watching for Tash’s entrance and arrival 😎
thanks for the fab pics 📷
Be as excited as TASH that it’s FRIDAY!!!!
Woohoo
Best day of the week.
captured this on 27/11/22 and after 14 years together, TASH & DAN’s love was worth celebrating 🥳
I had a ball getting to know them better, their families, marrying them and then keeping up with their journey and pics after the fact.
Enjoy you weekend everyone and enjoy every moment!!
If you’re going to get married on a Sunday arvo, to your long term partner, why not get married at a private riverside home, also having personal friends photograph the event and sing 🎤 backyard tunes into the evening? Before sitting down on-site for some delicious catering - all with security by the family dog?? 🐕
Don’t mind if we do ☀️💐🌻💍🥰😍
Congratulations M & P - a long time coming, here’s to eternity 🥂🍾🥂🍾
