This one was real fun to make (and quite the challenge!), but I was so happy with the end result! The cement mixer truck was completely edible and was a salted caramel mudcake with the barrel being made out of rice crispy treats. This cake then sat on top of another salted caramel mud ‘cement slab’ cake which I will share a separate photo of.

A really pretty cake to share tonight to celebrate the baptism of baby Isabella. Pastel pinks, edible lace and handmade sugar roses decorating a decadent dark chocolate mud cake that was filled with layers of rich chocolate ganache.

I completely loved the stylish simplicity and colour scheme of this two tier cake, created to celebrate the combined First Holy Communion of both my own little boy and my nephew last year! (And with so many Willow Tree Lane figurines to choose from, the options were endless!).

Such a great design for the messy teenager in your life! With Birthday wishes to Sean. A dark chocolate mudcake bed and chest of drawers, with some ‘sweet’ hobbies thrown into the mix… Hiking, rock climbing, hockey and playing X-box.

I’ve got some really pretty vintage inspired cupcakes to share tonight. I love how these turned out with their delicate dusky pink handmade sugar roses! They were individually boxed up to go along side the main cake for a 40th Birthday celebration earlier last year. (I’ll re-share the main cake in the comments section as I always meant to share the two photos together, but time got away from me!).

Absolutely loved how pretty this weekends cake was. A dark chocolate mud cake iced in white chocolate/vanilla ganache, and decorated with handmade vintage pink and cream sugar roses, macarons, buttercream swirls and homemade custom coloured sprinkles. (With matching cupcakes which I will share later in the week.) Happy 40th Nikki! Hoping you had the most wonderful celebration with your family and friends.

I absolutely loved creating this ‘Luigi’ cake! The simplicity of its design, its sharp striking colours and the fact that I also got to make a matching ‘Mario’ cake to go with it for two little brothers celebrating their birthdays together. Doesn’t get much sweeter! Happy Birthday Zaiden!

I’m WAY behind on sharing the Gingerbread House I made for Christmas last year, so here it is! One of my favorite family Christmas traditions…. Filled with even more gingerbread and chocolates. A little different than previous years though - Normally I decorate my bird houses with the icing I cover cakes with, but last year I used chocolate instead. White for the paneling and dark for the shingled roof. So delicious!!! Definitely a winning flavour combination at our house!!

Another gaming cake that I made recently. Again with thanks to my kids for their expertise! This mainly revolved around me showing them what I’d made and asking if they knew what it was. If they recognized it immediately, then I knew I was on the right track! 😂 With birthday wishes to Jasper!

Who likes chocolate? These cupcakes went out this morning as part of a 40th
Birthday celebration, with a two tiered chocolate drip cake to match! (My kids were literally counting the multitude of chocolate bars on my kitchen bench last night, calculating pack sizes vs cupcakes as I put these together in the hopes there would be spares! 😂)

In addition to last weeks Yeti cake, I also created some Vanilla Sugar Cookies which were decorated with the Falls Road Primary School emblem against a soft snowflake background (to tie in with the Winter Wonderland theme) for each of the graduating students.

This week I had the absolute pleasure of creating this ‘Winter Wonderland’ themed cake to celebrate the graduating year 6 class at Falls Road Primary School in Lesmurdie! (And I can’t say how much I loved making the decorations.... ESPECIALLY the Yeti! 💙)
