And away they go at the start of a very busy week catering for some very big meetings. Love and care in every box. Especially happy with the new spinach and feta scrolls - taking a gozleme and making into a perfect pick up and snack morning treat.

I don't know if anyone remembers their driving test, but huge congratulations to Qusay for getting his bus licence. This means he can now drive the Fare Go Food Truck to gigs and we make another step in developing the skills and autonomy that makes a social enterprise about the people working it.

Please sign this petition to allow more people seeking asylum the right to work!

Please sign this petition to allow more people seeking asylum the right to work!

We have seen devastating images of war, famine and danger that caused many people to leave their lives, homes and family to seek safety in Australia.

Most people on bridging visas in Western Australia come from Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan and Iraq and are here to seek safety.
However, once those people arrive in Australia, life can be very hard due to the complex and harsh laws for asylum seekers.

One such law is that most people on a Bridging Visa E are not allowed to work or access other safety nets while waiting for their refugee status and permanent visa approval. During this time, they have no income, no Medicare and rely on support from CARAD.

Without CARAD many would become homeless and unable to afford food or medical support.

We can change this.

We are calling on Immigration Minister Andrew Giles to allow everyone seeking asylum in Australia the right to work and other safety nets.
Right now, in Western Australia, there is a labour shortage. Pubs and restaurants across WA are crying out for cooks, chefs, and kitchen hands. Worksites are calling out for labourers to build housing.

And people seeking asylum want to work!

Sign this petition and join a generous and compassionate community that believes everyone in Australia deserves a reasonable opportunity!
