On Thursday night, I got to perform the wedding of Karol and Sarah, an absolutely wonderful pair of people, who in addition to being kind, funny and. So polite, were incredibly easy to work with. No banter was off limits and this resulted in an easy flowing, fun and readily adaptable script to accommodate, well, the unpredictable moments in a ceremony 😉 I'm sure my couple's son Caden didn't completely mean to make the moment all about him, but being completely daddy obsessed, there was no stopping it! Fortunately, everyone loved the flow and there was nothing but smiles the whole way through.

Karol and Sarah, never change who you are. You are a great couple and amazing, loving parents. I wish you both all the best in life ❤️

Happy first anniversary to an absolutely wonderful couple. I met Liam through having working with his dad AND sister before, and having known them saw the similarity in how considerate and caring he was. Then I got to meet Bella and on hearing their story, just immediately adored everything about them. A 💯 truly amazing pair, whose story was filled with laughs from their first meeting, to Bella having to live with a boy 😂, until a beautiful proposal. Sharing in how people have got to the wedding I'm involved in is one of the best parts of my job.

I think I'm always going to have good things to say about a couple when they invite me to stay for food and drinks after the ceremony 😂 But even without that, I wouldn't have enough wonderful words to say about Leif and Janita. They are two truly wonderful people who were so fun to work with. It was so much fun, I didn't actually expect the emotions to pop out as much as they did. As soon as Janita walked down the aisle, Leif's eye sprung a leak and didn't stop. The combination of laughs and love made for a beautiful ceremony. And here I am getting photos while they are on their honeymoon! Crazy kids 😂

Leif and Janita, thank you for involving me in your special day, letting me stay to hear the beautiful words of your family and friends, and just being awesome people. Now go have fun on your honeymoon! ❤️

Something I love about being part of a tight knit wedding community is when I can help others in a bind. So was the case with Hina and Admire's wedding, when plans had to change last minute. But I am so glad I got to be involved in the wedding of this wonderful couple as it was so much fun, particularly with Admire's side of the crowd, who's cheers throughout the ceremony spread a huge smile all across my face! It might be a Zimbabwe thing because they were cheers like no other! The emotions in the ceremony were incredibly high with some beautiful personal vows from Admire and Hina. You could feel the love through every minute.

Only last weekend I was at one of my favourite scenic venues for the wedding of Todd and Amie. From the moment I sat down with these two, I knew it would be a fun ceremony with the amount of banter they had, and the free reign I was given to sass them without restriction! The day was perfect for a wedding, and when Amie's parents arranged Scott the bagpipe player for our Scottish groom, you could feel the atmosphere shift to real love, recognising how accepted he was into their family. The emotions boiled over in the ceremony, with tears and laughs and it was a genuinely beautiful experience.

Back at the start of November, I performed the wedding of Steph and Pete, an amazing couple I met at a wedding expo. With the stunning backdrop of Quinns Beach behind us, the day was magical, in perfect weather matching the personalities of the couple. Their boys Oisin and Aiden made for some funny moments like Ois chasing a bug across mum's dress, the types of impromptu moments I love.

21 years. That's how long I have known the bride from my last wedding of 2023. Working at the Casino all those years ago, Ritta was like a second mum... Or well, a big sister who would beat me up, but was always there when I needed advice. So I was overjoyed when she told me she had met the man of her dreams and wanted to marry Ross. Knowing Ritta for all that time, I knew she needed a strong man who would be able to give back everything she dished out, and boy was he that man! I loved his laid back attitude and his witty repartee. These two were a match made in heaven!

Ah, Deb and Lachie, what an unbelievably sweet couple. From the moment I heard their story of love I knew these two were perfect for each other. And Sitella was the perfect backdrop for their special moment. I could feel every emotion during the ceremony, standing with Lachie and seeing his reaction to his bride, then feeling the absolute connection between them when Deb arrived.

One of my first weddings of the season took me to Pagoda Resort and Spa for the wedding of Scott and Sabrina. An absolutely adorable couple with a wonderful back story and great little quirks with their interests. Just a pair of joyful people who made me smile through every moment of our meetings and the ceremony. I remember emotion filling the ballroom that day as our couple lovingly reared up through some beautiful vows, making all their guests wipe their eyes.

Another December wedding (which was unusually busy) took me to Iluka Beach for yet another friends wedding (I do actually do weddings for people I don't know 😂). I've known Tiff for about 15 years and Pete for about 5 and was so happy when they got together. Both looking in the right place at the right time and found their forever person. It was a small and intimate ceremony which is incredibly underrated, knowing how close all the guests are.

Pete and Tiff, I wish you all the love in the world in your life together, you both deserve total happiness ❤️

One of my first weddings in December was the wedding of Ollie and Cass in the backyard of their amazing home. It was one of the most fun weddings I've done recently as being friends with both of them allowed me to be unleashed and relentless in my grilling of poor Ollie while Cass got a milder spray. Disclaimer, I don't ruin weddings, they checked the content first 😂 These two are absolutely made for each other which made for an incredible ceremony, with lots of laughs.

In November I was whisked away to a simply breathtaking home wedding venue in Lower Chittering for the marriage of Britt and Jack. I felt an instant connection with these two lovers when we first met as their adorable little Milla was of similar age to my little girl. Our chats were always full of laughs and they were one of the most down to earth couples I've ever met. When it came to the wedding day, I couldn't get over how much work they had done to the property to make it wedding ready, from gorgeous ceremony to immaculate reception area. Everything about this wedding was beautiful and unique.

I do seem to do a lot of weddings for friends, but that's what makes me love my work so much. Being involved in one of people's most special moments warms my heart and makes the emotions come right to the surface. So when I am friends with both people, from different times in my life, I actually feel involved! And so was the case for Cam and Ash. I've known them both for many years, meeting them at different times, but clicking with both of them. When I heard they were a couple, I was overjoyed, having seen them both go through the trials of life and settling down with someone so wonderfully matched to them. Just watching these two in such an emotional moment really struck my core. Their little boy Flynn topped the moment off with happiness.

Cam and Ash, thank you for trusting me with your day. I am so glad I got to be there with you and hope to see you travelling through married life with the utmost happiness ❤️

Throw back to October last year when I was contacted on short notice by Callum and Savannah. It was all systems go from the first minute as we had to plan the perfect wedding for this lovely young couple. And the day was so perfect! I felt I had to warn people, but it's not about me, let's talk about Clint and Tanya. This wonderful couple found each other later in life and I can certainly tell you, waiting until later made for a dream match. Tying the knot in December, they were so much fun to work with, keeping me on my toes, but giving me plenty of laughs along the way (obviously 😂). With their little Brady bunch joining them at the wedding, the day was filled with love and absolute joy.

Love, love.... Love love love 😉Now this wedding meant a lot to me. I've known Rob and Kat for a long time and they are such a beautiful couple. And having the opportunity to help them tie the knot was wonderful for me. From the moment they walked met at the end of the aisle, to their first dance, there was nothing but love, devotion and happiness in the air. The whole night was just a magical affair.

Rob and Kat, you two are amazing and I am so glad I got to be at your wedding for the whole time. I mean, I wanted to check that you would get through your reception and didn't pass out by 6.30pm, but the great company, food and laughs made it an awesome night. I finally have some time to sit down and was lucky to have some photos back from an AWESOME couple in Mitch and Hayley. Mitch happens to be the son of one of my mates (which in saying that makes me feel really old) making it so amazing for me to be involved with their special day. The love between these two was so beautiful, and their youthful exuberance wonderful to watch.

A couple of weeks ago I returned to Sandalford Winery to perform the wedding of Annie and Shane. Something that stood out to me about these two were their incredibly light hearted nature from out first meeting then through the whole process. They were fun, and ever so romantic bringing a smile to my face everytime I saw them together and the way the gazed at one another. Their love and devotion to their daughter Adeline made everything all the more special.
