COLLABORATION 🖤

When we were asked by .catering to help style their introductory lunch for fellow vendors we couldn’t say no! Great food with great company it’s a big yes from us 🖤

And wow, Chris Panaches head chef, food is amazing 🤌🏼

We were truly spoiled with delicious canapés of pork belly bites and green curry with prawns. Then an entree of chicken liver & port parfait, swordfish with pickled watermelon. Jalapeño & corn croquettes with red pepper sour cream. And a beetroot & feta salad, pickled grapes candid walnuts and sherry vinegar.

And now the amazing mains! Lamb served three ways with sweet potato puree, whipped feta, asparagus and pomegranate. Beef fillet with onion puree and smoked mushrooms. Gnocchi with hazelnut romanesco, wild mushrooms, spinach and peas. Roasted chicken breast with cauliflower puree, dauphinoise potatoes and pickled radish. Cone bay barramundi, gazpacho, pickled salad and crispy basil.

And then the OMG desserts of hazelnut and dark chocolate brownie with chantily cream. Raspberry and vanilla panna cotta with roasted white chocolate & almonds. And banoffee in a glass.

The DJ and MC play a much bigger role of the night than just playing music, there is alot of technicalities involved. If possible, find one that can do both so that you can confidently say your evening will run well. When a friend gets this task allocated to them, it becomes risky as they can tend to drink too much and have fun with fellow guests and forget about the couples best interest.

If you want to save money in your wedding budget a simple way to do it is don’t do bombanaries for your guests. Controversial subject I know, but you have already paid for them to come to your beautiful day and have amazing food and drink. That alone is an amazing gift. Your guests will not mind at all if there is no bombanarie for them. And sadly they mostly get left behind. So save money and don’t worry about doing them.

HONEST OPINION ALERT

We can only be as organised as yourselves, your venue staff and your guests.

We always try our best to obtain the information we need to make your day run smoothly. But if we are given the wrong information, or if an external party doesn’t comply with the info we’re given, all we can do is be mailable and flex to the situation.

Unfortunately these malfunctions are perceived as a wrong doing on our behalf. For example, if a vendor is running late and we have to facilitate their bump in and needs at the umpteenth hour regarding power, position etc, it should not reflect badly on us.

Consider this when hiring a wedding coordinator. If you see us running around like headless chickens, it’s probably not because we are unprepared, it’s because something unexpected has happened and we are putting in the legwork to solve the problem; hence, why you hired a coordinator.

Be kind to your wedding planner and/or coordinator. You don’t see what happens behind the scenes, which is the whole point.

I would change one thing that was totally out of my control….. the weather!!! It rained the day before my wedding so I couldn’t use the gardens for my ceremony as they were too wet 😭I was gutted as I had my heart set on the gardens for my ceremony at my dream venue 💔Was I totally devastated - yep! Did I blame anyone? - Nope Did I move on and accept Plan B? - You bet I did. ALSO I was grateful that my venue was totally all over it and had a Plan B in place so I didn’t have to worry. Venue managers and coordinators are amazing people and can control 99% of things EXCEPT the weather. So moral of the story, have a Plan B in place, be happy with it, and don’t get too cranky at the venue or coordinator for making the call, trust me it hurts them to do it.
