Part-Time Casual Florist to join our team

Located in Bassendean, The Original Wedding Company plans and styles weddings in Perth and the South West. We are searching for a florist to join our tight-knit team.

The successful applicant will
• Take an active part in all design discussions
• Attend site visits with clients and our Senior Stylist
• Prepare floral quotes to meet client budget
• Order all flowers and sundries
• Be responsible for the management of stock

Please apply if;
• You have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in floristry including placing orders
• Have a desire to create original designs
• You enjoy working as part of a team but are also self-motivated
• You are client-focused
• You have a Driver’s License (manual would be nice but not essential)

Flexible working hours are offered, but you must be able to work Thursdays. Fridays and Saturdays when required.

We encourage florists of all ages to apply.

Our last wedding at was this beauty for our dear Angel & Jeffrey!⠀

We transformed the main function room into a spring wedding dream, full of soft & romantic florals and candlelight. A fairylight canopy covered the entire ceiling and the dancefloor space was surrounded by cosy lounge settings. We started set up 2 days prior, erecting a truss system around the entire room and building the space from the outside in. The last thing to go up was this stunning three ring floral installation over the bridal table right in the centre of the room.⠀

It’s hard to guess how many hours went into the planning of this cake. I think we met with Jo from @thecakeandi 3 times, plus many phone calls. Anyone who’s made a cake this big will understand the logistics of creating such a work of art - from preparation, to transporting and making sure it doesn’t fall down! This cake was made even more fabulous by the girls at @poppysflowers. I’ll not forget the moment I saw Jo looking at the cake when it was all finished, sitting on our beautiful cake table. She looked so proud and happy. Always love your work Jo ###

I really enjoy the peace and serenity in a reception room before guests arrive. On Saturday, we had a few hours to check and re-check all styling elements before the bride and groom arrived for a first look. The anticipation and excitement is immense - but there’s no stress because I know that the whole team has done the best job possible. Wedding Styling and Design by @originalweddingco. Flowers by @poppysflowers.

What an exceptional weekend. Working to a brief of designing a fairy tale wedding, it took 6 months of styling meetings, weeks of prep, 3 days to set up and 12 hours to pack down. Working with the best in the business made this even sweeter. Enjoy the videos and images we will be posting over the next few days x
