Hands up if you're excited for wedding season coming!?

What does this mean for you as a bride?
If you are getting married in the first half of next year then its time to get your wedding dress sorted! With so many public holidays approaching it can definitely affect delivery times so make sure you take that into account.

It also means new seasons of wedding dresses so keep your eye out for new stock entering the boutiques.

Its also the BUSY time - appointments at your ideal boutique may take a little longer to secure so book well in advance.

An unexpected, extended break and we are back! Sometimes we just need a little time out to reflect and regroup with so much going on in the world!

Have you been seeing high-low wedding gowns around recently and have also felt triggered? Were you too victimised by high-low dresses in highschool and early clubbing years? Whilst it's very scary to know that this trend may be coming back - the good news is they are being done to perfection!! Just look at this piece from - This kind of mullet dress I can get around!

More and more brides choose to ditch a lot of the older traditions like the garter toss, bouquet toss etc but I always find that a lot of them will keep this one - plus it's just a cute thing to do anyway. A nod to the past, present and future doesn't have to be boring or overdone! Here are some ideas for all my future brides!

Are planning on being a comfort Queen and changing your shoes during your wedding??

Some things to remember:
- Make sure you give your shoes to someone to take to your reception!
- Consider a little bit of a platform sneaker as your wedding dress will be hemmed according to your ceremony shoes. Make sure to tell your seamstress!!
- If you want something super special, have a look into personalising them!
- Don't forget to take your first shoes home with you!!

Designer Spotlight: Saint Bridal Couture
I started seeing this designer pop up within the last month or so and obviously they caught my eye and fell IN LOVE with their designs. When I found out they happened to be the edgy little sister of Rue De Seine then it all made sense! Saint Bridal saw a gap in the market for high-end, luxurious couture wedding gowns but more affordable for the every day Bride. The New Realm Collection takes unexpected textures and details and mixing them with their timeless silhouettes. Made in the same Atelier as Rue, you know that each piece is meticulously crafted and delivered with high quality.
Price Range $4,250 to $5,850

Modifications: Are they are a yes? Or should you stay away?
A lot of the time we can love a dress but it's just missing one or two little things that we would make it perfect!
But do you decide to change it?

PROS:
- you get to make a wedding dress truly one of a kind
- you can make adjustments to make you more comfortable/modest eg. adding straps, more cups or even sleeves
- changing a thing or two may be a simpler/cheaper option over a fully custom dress
- you can add your personality into the gown

CONS:
- Major changes can be difficult to visualise
- The end product doesn't technically exist till it's made and may not live up to your expectations
- sometimes modifications in the manufacture process can cost a lot
- you need be VERY specific with the changes you are wanting!
- you might hate what it looks like

In my opinion, I think that simple changes such as adding a strap, extending trains, changing linings or adding buttons are definitely not risky and it makes the gown a little more special knowing that you've put your own touches on it.
Unless you are super confident and a great visualiser, bigger changes to the structure of the gown should definitely be properly considered!

P.S Some designers will NOT allow mods or they will be very limited to what they will and won't modify
