The Electronic Music Appreciation Society of UWA EMAS runs festival-style parties (ie.

EMAS is a group of university students that celebrates the vibrant and diverse culture of electronic music and fosters a community centred around it. With a membership base of over 4000 students in 2016, EMAS is one of the largest and most active university clubs in the state. The club has existed continuously since 1992 as an affiliated club of the UWA Student Guild, however, since 2011, EMAS has

undergone a radical and exciting expansion into its current state, putting it at the forefront of the student experience in WA. We're a club for anyone interested in all types of electronic music, whether you're an experienced DJ, budding producer or just love the tunes! the biggest uni parties in WA), mix-up sessions in venues across Perth, free DJ and production lessons for beginners and advanced members alike, and a ton of other events to cater to every music lover at UWA. Fresher Elections Reminder: the election will be held at 5pm tomorrow (14th March) at the UWA Grove (bbq's next to James oval opposite the wilsmore and tattersal lecture theatres. Please prepare a 1 minute speech to introduce yourself and let us know why you'd be a great fit for the committee. Just a reminder that these elections are reserved for first year uni students. If you are still interested in joining the committee we hold mid year elections in semester 2 which are open to all uni years!

Some last things to know before tomorrow night! 💃

We will still be selling door tickets during the event!

EMAS and UWA also have zero tolerance to antisocial behavior, intoxicated patrons, and sexual assault. If you experience anything or feel uncomfortable, inform a staff or security member as they will be patrolling at the event.
The UWA Security number is ( +61 8 ) 6488 2222.

UWA Security has also rolled out a new SMS service for students and staff in circumstances where verbal communications is not possible - students and staff can send a brief SMS to 0438 739 744 or add “URGENT” in front of the message if immediate assistance is required.
Alternatively security can be contacted through the SafeZone app.
