We’re sooo excited for this epic & gorgeous show!
We are really looking forward to our performance of THE LIGHTHOUSE GIRL SAGA at Kalamunda Performing Arts Centre tomorrow night before we head to the Como Theatre from July 6 - 14.
Don't miss this beautiful story of ordinary people living in extraordinary times: a tale of courage, resilience, hope and love.
A bold adaptation by two of WA’s leading playwrights, Jenny Davis OAM and Hellie Turner, this epic production blends four award-winning novels by West Australian writer, Dianne Wolfer: Lighthouse Girl, Light Horse Boy, In the Lamplight and The Last Light Horse into a compelling and immersive theatrical event.
Striking visuals, evocative sound and innovative staging transports the audience with the First AIF convoy as it embarks from King George sound and farewells Australia from the beacon of the lighthouse at Breaksea Island, to the hell of Gallipoli, the mud in the trenches at the Western Front, a nurse’s compassion in rural England and peaceful horizons in country Victoria. Journey with Fay, Charlie, Jim, Rose and Sandy, the only warhorse to return to Australia of the 136,000 sent to war, across seas and through the mire of war as their intersecting stories culminate in the forging of the ANZAC spirit and a love that conquers all.

"THEATRE 180's production of The Lighthouse Girl Saga was outstanding. As a regular theatre goer I rarely find a production that combines so many theatrical elements with such success. A sensitive and well researched script by Jenny Davis and Hellie Turner is the foundation of this production. Three very fine actors Sienna Cate, Isaac Diamond, Nick Maclaine directed by Stuart Halusz have gold to work with, bringing so many characters to life. Outstanding audio visual and sound to complement the dialogue. The set design simple and functional lit by subtle lighting design. The actors change character with just a hat, a coat,a dress, all done discretely, taking nothing from the action centre stage. The production is heart warming; heart breaking in equal measure. We all know what happened before Gallipoli in April 1915 and after. The horror of that "war to end all wars" was dealt with factually and with sensitivity. Taking a story from pre war to beyond the armistice was an ambitious project done with creative brilliance. I love seeing our stories and hearing our voices on stage. Thank you THEATRE 180 for a fantastic evening".

For he has travelled to attend the funeral of his beloved father (dead under mysterious … actually make that downright suspicious circumstances).
