“Absolute legend! Eddie made our day so much fun and it felt not only unique but he made the day exactly us in every way. Everyone complimented us on finding Eddie and they all said he did such an amazing job, they couldn’t believe how amazing he was. Everyone was entertained, laughing and crying with us. I honestly can’t put into words how amazing he helped make our day! We felt so comfortable with him, putting our trust in him completely was the best thing for us. If you want a wedding that is fun and filled with your personality we would 100% say Eddie is the right man to DM the day.”

Honestly, that one made me tear up a little. I put so much of myself in each ceremony and it is always so beautiful when everything fits together this perfectly. Jamee & Aiden are my people and being there for them meant the world to me.
It’s not a joke or me trying to be cute when I say that I truly, from the bottom of my heart, love this job. I found myself in a way I didn’t know it was possible and every time I doubt myself (which happens quite often) lovely words like that remind me that what I do matters… and this makes me the luckiest guy I know ❤️ .

I wanted to put this out there a long time ago but beat me to it.
I’m no ludite but I will draw a line when technology stops helping me and starts trying to do my job for me. Unless I teach it, it never will.
As a creative, as a celebrant, as an artist and as a human, AI worries me an awful lot. We don’t know what’s around the corner but if I am your celebrant know this - your ceremony is being written by a human.
Me. The human is me.
And yes - I am a human. Technically.

My friend Wez iasked me to help with Ghenghis Con’s table at WA Scale Model Expo and bring some of my minis.
Of course the Weding Rehearsal Model Kit™️ made an appearance, along with the Vampirate Ship and a proper Dungeons & Dragons dungeon with classic characters fighting a classic dragon.
They don’t stand a chance.

The supernatural sunset that Brazil has gifted us yesterday.
Larissa & Leo wanted this - magic, family, joy, eddie. They could find it all in Rio de Janeiro - but me 😛
A couple of meetings, a lot of logistics, sheer willpower and handful of qantas points made it happen they got everything they wanted - family from all over the world, joy that can’t fit in one passport and a celebrant that could make their guest feel things in 2 languages (me, it was me, I was that celebrant).
So yeah, we could all learn from this - wherever you want to get married, specially if it is in a place with favourable exchange rates, I’m just a couple of flights away ✈️

So, I did a thing... Actually, 350 things.
Last week, in a not-so-secret location, a somewhat secret couple shared their vows in front of their families and in the presence of a very happy Celebrant, who was also celebrating his 350th wedding.
It's just a number, I know, it means nothing, I know... But I can't help myself from grinning when I think that there are about 700* people out there who chose me to be there for their wedding day. It is humbling and also something to be proud of.
I don't know exactly where this will go - 500? 1000? 1000000??? But I know I will always bring this energy, this vibe to anyone who looks at this guy and thinks "hey, let's give him a microphone at our big day".
Thank you to my friends Kat and Elena for sharing this huge milestone with me.
