I love it when I get the opportunity to perform a wedding at St Mary’s by the Sea
Would you agree this view is one of the best from any chapel, dare I say, in the world?
Today’s groom was certainly mesmerised whilst he waited for his bride to arrive

Little batty friend visited the hospital last week 🦇

🦇GOING BATTY🦇: Mossman Hospital recently received an unexpected visitor to its acute care ward, in the form of a micro bat.

The insectivorous bat was discovered by operational services supervisor Narelle in a ward toilet, who immediately closed off the area and called for a wildlife carer to come and rescue the animal and release it back into the wild.

The friendly intruder was captured by the Port Douglas-based Tropical Animal Rehabilitation Centre, at Wildlife Habitat, and secured in a small pouch.

The pouch was then hung from a bush in the hospital grounds where the bat was able to sleep for the remainder of the day, before flying off during the night to continue its important contribution to the environment.

One of my passions, especially since I moved to Far North QLD 17 years ago, is the environment.
Yesterday I had the privilege of joining quite a few others helping plant native trees to regenerate the rainforest
This particular wildlife corridor was sugar cane fields purchased in 2014 and is now .centre
Volunteers, including myself, have spent the last 9 years on a number of planting days to restore this piece of land (personally I’ve been able to attend 3), yesterday being the last official public planting day to restore it

Narelle was so helpful and down to earth.
Exactly what we were looking for in a celebrant.
We were planning our wedding from interstate and she made the whole process very smooth.
She was always prompt with emails and messages when I needed some guidance.
She was easy to have a laugh with, while still remaining professional.
Thank you Narelle for creating the perfect ceremony for us and making our day perfect.
Would Highly recommend!

A most epic of weddings today! Music played on the harp by Loni Fitzpatrick - Harp + Voice and a guard of honour holding swords as the couple walked down the aisle! I can’t wait to share that photo ⚔️

Ben 🤍 Michael
Every wedding I officiate is a blessing but when I was asked to marry two people I love the feeling of being blessed went out of the stratosphere ❤️
Ben and I meet when we were both cast in the iconic musical Priscilla performed at the Clink Theatre. Ben asked Michael to marry him after a performance one night, so I was blessed to be there at the proposal and to officiate their marriage
In the presence of their much loved son Finn, with their family and friends looking on Ben and Michael promised a lifetime of love, support, friendship and devotion
The love these two share absolutely radiated from them and filled the hearts of everyone there
My favourite quote I used in their ceremony, inspired by the groom Ben, was said just before I asked their family and friends to join me in congratulating them and that was from Christian in Moulin Rouge
“The greatest thing you’ll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return.”

Andrew 🤍 Samantha
I do love me an intimate elopement - just the bride, groom, a photographer, a witness and myself - it makes for such a personal ceremony where the focus is simply the love of two wonderful people
In the shade of the beach trees on beautiful Four Mile Beach, the sun glistened off the ocean and the tourists and locals alike wandered past offering smiles as they caught a glimpse of the love that radiated from Andrew and Samantha
Their special ceremony the conclusion of an epic East Coast trip, this gorgeous kiwi couple had thoughts of ‘accidentally’ losing their passports so they could stay longer in our gorgeous tropical town 🤣
I love it when I connect so well with my couples, especially when group hugs are included ❤️

One year ago today I was blessed to officiate the marriage of my talented gorgeous friend Anouk and her wonderful beau Greg
On the banks of a Daintree Rainforest river this intimate ceremony took place, it was a perfect day at the most beautiful of locations
Our biggest smiles shone and our happiest of tears were shed - it was truly magnificent - words cannot express the honour I felt and still feel to have played such an important part on their wedding day
Happy anniversary to two very special first class people, I love you both the mosterest, so happy to be able to shout this news from the tallest mountain 🤍

Belinda 🤍 Marianne
This was one of the most heart warming ceremonies I have officiated and my first opportunity to use my lovely ladies on the signing table
Belinda and Marianne’s love shone so brightly that day and the love from their family and friends filled their hearts to overflowing
As their ceremony concluded cheers rang to the music of John Paul Young’s ‘Love is in the Air’
In these moments, we are reminded that the very best part of our humanity is in our ability to love

Sean 🤍 Enya
Sean and Enya said ‘I do’ in an intimate ceremony with their closest people, including the light of their life - their son
Little Cove is the iconic picturesque Port Douglas park wedding location - the Coral Sea is your background and the waves your soundtrack
In this perfect setting they made a promise to love and support each other, talk long into the night, communicate honestly and work as a team, as they continue their life journey together
Sean and Enya’s relationship is one that has seen their shared core values allow their relationship to grow stronger with each year, enriched by the memories they created. Their wedding day - a significant addition to those memories

James 🤍 Rosa
There was much excitement and anticipation in the air as James and their loved family and friends awaited Rosa’s arrival to the beautiful Alamanda Chapel in Palm Cove
As James turned and saw his beautiful wife to be for the first time in her gorgeous wedding dress, the tears of happiness came flooding
As they said their vows and made their promises to each other the room was filled with their love
Their love story was very much a fairytale - and their wedding day the next chapter towards their happily ever after
