Dee would have wanted the show to go on. She knew I love doing what I do as it's more than entertaining, it's creating community. Without Dee, I wouldn't know how to catch a ball (really)! I'll miss our chats, going out for iced chocolate and coffee, enjoying a boysenberry ice-cream on a hot summer day, staying up late to watch Wimbledon together, sipping on her soup on a cold winter's day... But I'll remember her smile. Always being there for me if I ever needed to chat. Being a walking calendar (she could recall her two children's, five grandchildren's, and eight great grandchildren's names and birthdates) and thesaurus (she was unbeatable with an empty crossword and a pen). Now, she's "back home" with her Mum and Dad. And, I know she's at peace. I love you, Dee.
