Spring veg coming along after a lazy winter. Having a hothouse has made a huge difference in my seed raising. Lots more to be planted out. But succession planting is the key to constant supply so I need to hold myself back and keep some for later.

The Good Hoe is getting ready for the next market this Sunday at the foreshore in Portland. Only the first 100 people will get to have a taste of that egg and bacon roll and our famous smoked beef brisket burger. The popular chocolate brownie with also be part of the show. When you love chilli you can’t live without it. Mexicans have mastered the way to make fresh chillies into complex aroma. Dry it, smoke it, pickle it, enjoy it. These are the ones I use to make my chilli bean burrito at my market stall.

Our smoked beef brisket is back tomorrow ! But this time in a burger. Come early so you don’t miss out. Also we will have an egg and bacon roll for those who want to come for breaky. We will start serving food at 9:00 in our market stall at the portland community market.

Our first market in Heywood yesterday was a hit !
I would like to thank all the heywood community for their support, as well as all the Portlanders that made it accross. Also a big thank you to the market organisers team that dared to get people together, they did a fantastic job and looked after me well.
But the biggest thank you goes to my trusted team Meaola and my right arm Tia Haynes. I put them all to the test and they nailed it.
I will see you all again in Portland on the 7th of March down the foreshore for a tasty feed.

The Good Hoe is officially here !! After months of preparation and long hours of planning, many ups and downs and a lot of help and support from my beautiful friends, my little catering business, is up and running.
So if you need a caterer to feed the crowd; or some nibbles for your business meetings, The Good Hoe will satisfy your requirements.
