Looking back on Kayla + Sam’s intimate ceremony 💓

Instead of going for a traditional vow exchange and certificate signing during their main ceremony, these lovebirds opted to have a private ceremony in our gardens, along with their witnesses earlier in the day.

What this made for was a calm and intimate vow exchange and some amazing photos while being able to be completely present in the moment. Kayla + Sam had their main ceremony later, along with the rest of their friendly and family.

We get it… you book a wedding in summer and you’re bummed when it rains on your wedding day. It’s the reason you book a wedding venue like ours, to get married outside, and it’s the same reason I (Liam) booked my wedding at Butterfly Red Hill.

Tanya + Patrick opted to move their wedding inside due to the rain on this drizzly day in December and it was beautiful capture by . The intimacy, the laughter, the love, captured in its moody glory in our gallery space.

The last of the recent birthday celebrations was for the huge 7️⃣0️⃣ of our good friend Clark.

This massive day consisted of food prepared by Clark himself, a full-day musical extravaganza, and of course his closest and dearest!

Last weekend we got to be a part of Annie’s 70th birthday celebrations… and it was a real family affair!

Annie’s party was themed “a splash of colour” and boy was there colour. Featuring loud swimsuits hanging in the fruit trees, multicoloured flowers, a rainbow of outfits from her guests, there wasn’t part of the palette missing!

So glad we could be a part of this wonderful celebration.

It was our privilege and honour to host the wake of Vic at Butterfly.

Vic’s wake was a pure celebration of his life, bringing his closest people together. Vic was a collector of things - vintage cars, wines, spirits, trinkets - and they were all present at this commemoration of who he was. His closest people showed out for him on this day and we were fortunate to be able to be a part of it.
