Due to unforeseen circumstances that have conflicted with my personal life, it is with heavy heart that I have to withdraw from my opening slot for Sirus, Robots In Love and Council of War 2054 on the Friday the 5th of April.

I was looking forward to perform what I had prepared for this show, and to have these unfortunate events occur at the most inconvenient time has left me in such a bad position where sacrifices have had to be made. Because sometimes, life gets in the way of great things.

I have informed Josh of Sirus, and there will be another chance to play with Sirus, (hopefully) Robots in Love and Council of War 2054 in the future. But for now, unfortunately, life has made a huge interference with this event, and it pains to say I'll have to wait until next time to play with these guys.

My sincerest apologies to Sirus, Robots In Love, Council of War 2054 and to anyone who was excited to see me onstage with these three amazing bands. I wish you all the best of luck for this show and I hope it ends up becoming an amazing show for everyone to experience. Lots of love to you guys.

Hey everyone,

Lots of people have asked me as of late: when is the next Daydream Deluxe album? Well, it's not gonna be fun for me to explain what's been happening, but here's the kicker:

For most of 2023 going into 2024, I've been under a dry spell with producing V***rwave and Future Funk, and haven't been happy with anything I've made thus far. Everything I've produced I feel keeps going nowhere and doesn't emanate the excitement I got from creating "Dream Forever". Though I have released a number of EPs, Singles and Albums in the last four years, I just don't feel like anything has been the most honest variation of myself as of late.

This predominantly has to do with my personal life and everything that has been affecting it to the point where I've had very little to no time to perfect these ideas. In addition, I've had another project that I've been putting more time and effort towards that has been the alleviator for what I've been enduring these last few months. I cannot express what has been going on at this time, but I can say that what I've been writing musically and lyrically has been the most sincere version of my artistry lately.

So, instead of trying to force myself to make another V***rwave or Future Funk release, I'm instead turning my focus to this new brainchild of mine that is sonically different as opposed to Daydream Deluxe. All of these songs I've composed so far have had to do with my personal life, current affairs that have inflicted my friends, people I once considered to be friends that turned out to be lecherous and backstabbing pieces of s**t, current societal conundrums and more. So more or less, this is a bit of a punk band I'm working on called "A.R.M.D.", and I aim to have music recorded and released by the end of the year. But of course, nothing can be recorded until I have all the equipment I need, so a lot of my money from work will be put towards the gear I need.

That being said, from a production standpoint, Daydream Deluxe will be on hiatus. However, I will still be doing gigs and taking part in online events if anyone calls me to join their lineup. Not to mention the fact I'm still doing V***rShave and am very much looking forward to doing that! So rest assured, Daydream Deluxe will still be active everywhere else, just not when it comes to producing music while this new idea is underway.

Hey fam!

So, I know you guys have been asking when the next Daydream Deluxe album is gonna be released, and I have some news regarding such. First and foremost, I've struggled to make more Future Funk, V***rwave and House Music, which is what I'm predominantly known for. I've felt like I've been kicking a dead horse with crafting my own take on those genres, so I'm basically going on a creative hiatus for those categories of electronic music for a bit. But this doesn't mean I'm gonna stop DJing and performing those genres at my shows; I'm gonna keep doing them and promote all the artists from the scene around the world that I love and admire.

However, there is another project I've been working on since March of last year that I initially planned to release under a different pseudonym. It's somewhat of a techno record that inhabits dark, progressive, minimal and ambient elements; something you could say is an amalgamation of Aphex Twin, Massive Attack, Bonobo, Boris Brejcha and maybe even a little Carpenter Brut for that matter. On top of that, I've felt more creative in what I've been executing in this project, so I may as well keep working on it and have it released no later than March of 2024. After running a poll on Instagram, a majority of you suggested I release this record as Daydream Deluxe instead of resorting to another name. In addition, it would be contradictory for Daydream Deluxe to label himself as a genre-fluid DJ/Producer and release something under a different moniker that sounds vastly distant from everything else in his catalogue.

So, with all that being said, I'm happy to say that a new Daydream Deluxe full-length LP will be released in the coming months. All that I require is to finish producing the tracks I want to group together for this new album, and to find someone that can mix and master the final product so it's ready for live shows and potential physical releases.

Thank you for your patience, everyone! In the meantime, keep spinning my tunes whenever you please and I'll see you guys later! And before I finish this post, the name of this current LP will be entitled [To_Some_Extent], which will feature eleven tracks. That is all!

I'm going to be vulnerable here.

As you all know, I am an artist--a very self-critical one. Having a perfectionist mindframe exclusively fixated on your own life can feel like a disease, and it has plagued me for a long time. So long that it has taken me down the path of self-destruction. Even so, you'll come to find that there really are people out there in the world who truly appreciate what you do. You may find a lot of flaws in your character, but everyone else will look past that and point out all the good things about you. Those people will find you, and they will tell you. When they do, it feels very good and reassuring. That right there summarises these last few days here in the V***rwave scene for me.

Normally, you hear people say to you, "Your music saved my life," but you don't hear much from the artist's perspective. So, I'm going to say this to everyone who knows me:
Your support in what I do saved my life. For that, I am grateful to such a degree that I can not truly emphasise accurately, and I owe you so much for your acknowledgement of what I do. You are all the reason why I somehow find the energy to go out there and reach levels I never thought were possible. Whether we've exchanged pleasantries in person back home or from another part of the world, you guys are why I keep on going.

To quote one of my main influences in music, Deadmau5 that still sticks with me and reminds me why I do what I do: "If you can impact one person with your music, it's pretty much worth it".

So, to everyone out there that has doubts and has a lot of internal naysayer dialogue about themselves, tell those intrusive thoughts to f**k off and do what makes you feel complete. If it gives you the feeling of purpose, then keep doing it. It's going to pay off in the long run, and there are heaps of people that are rooting for you. That's the god's honest truth.

In closing, thank you all so much. I love every one of you forever.
