Dromkeen "The Wonder of Nature' upcoming exhibition from Saturday, April 12th-Sunday April 27th, daily form 10.00-500pm. This 'pop-up' exhibition will feature the work of 30 local artists from the Macedon Ranges and can be viewed/purchased. Any artwork featured on FB can be enquired about before the exhibition. Local artist Kathy Medbury has also donated a lovely artwork for raffle to assist with raising funds for restoration work at Dromkeen. Drop by and purchase your tickets for $2 before or during the exhibition.

DROMKEEN STORYTIME: Saturday March 1st at 2.00pm. Join Bernadette in the homestead gallery for a reading of a wonderful book, written and illustrated by Australian author/illustrator Sarah Allen. There will be chirping cicadas, flashing fireflies, sneaky stick insects and burrowing bees. There will be a reading, songs and a special craft activity.

Today's featured Artist- Colleen Weste
Colleen has been a silk artist for many years, combining a love of colour and spiritual connection to the bush to create individual silk art to wear pieces.

She hand paints on silk with everything starting out as white fabric, using dyeing, overdyeing with French dyes or a shibori resist technique to create colourful patterns and textures on cloth.

She is also author of the book ‘Silk Painting Step by Step -Techniques and Ideas for Colour and Design’.

'The Wonder of Nature' Dromkeen pop-up Art Exhibition- 12th - 27th April. This exhibition will feature the work of 30 fantastic and varied artists from the Macedon Ranges. A percentage of the commision from artwork sold will go towards much needed maintenance works on the Dromkeen building and grounds.
Featured Artist: Caroline Smyrk--"A contemporary visual artist living in the Macedon Ranges, Caroline works in a range of media including, oils, watercolour, charcoal and printmaking.
Caroline draws inspiration from the local landscape, people in her life and the natural environment. She loves drawing and painting places, memories, visions and the simple beauty of the view in front of her eyes."
