On Nov 23rd, down in Lammermoor with their two daughters and close family by their sides, Helena and Jymi said yes to their forever 🖤

They’d planned to tie the knot much sooner, but life kept them busy. So, it was decided that they would postpone for a while to make sure that when their special day did come that everything went perfectly. Then, in October during a drive to Brisbane, they decided, “Why wait any longer? Let’s do this!”

My favourite moment from the day was when Jymi’s great-grandmother ‘Gigi’ shared how happy she was to see Jymi with someone as wonderful as Helena.

“All you want in life is for your kids, your grandkids, your great grandkids to find happiness, and he has. Helena is perfect for him”.

Here’s to a lifetime of love, laughter, and happily ever after! Congratulations to The Spencers 🍾

This was my first time being a 𝘊𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘚𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘬𝘪𝘤𝘬 for a couple, and I absolutely loved it!

Katrina and Mick asked me to take care of the legal side of their marriage ahead of their big celebration in April 2025, where their best mate will officiate their ceremony.

After exchanging vows and rings in the heart of their beautiful property in The Caves, we hopped onto the Polaris and cruised back to the house to pop the champers and sign the paperwork 🍾 Such an easy, breezy (literally) and stress-free day

It was such an honour to be part of this special moment. I can’t wait to see photos from the big day next year! 🥳

Yesterday afternoon, I had the honour of being involved in the private wedding of Lauren and Ben at Headricks Lane! They said yes to forever with only their nearest and dearest by their side. The stunning historical venue made for the perfect place to celebrate their love 🤍

My streak of not crying during vow exchanges was officially broken when Lauren began reading hers. There was not a dry eye in the house! The love that this pair share for each other is so pure, and was a joy to witness.

Later in the evening, as guests began to arrive for their engagement party (😉) there was shock, smiles and applause all around when the pair walked in hand-in-hand to announce the big surprise!

A truly beautiful evening. Thank you for letting me be a part of it guys & congratulations 🧡

In the charming country space of Lazy Acres, Jess & Ben tied the knot on Saturday September 28th 2024 surrounded by all of their loved ones. I’m still daydreaming about the venue, and the florals and… all of it!

Their daughter, who was their beautiful flower girl, couldn’t stop gushing about how excited she was for the big celebration. Right after the ceremony, she yelled “I’M SO HAPPY” to some of the guests which made my heart burst 🥹

And their son made us all laugh right before the ceremony when he pulled a brief disappearing act, which turned out to be him sneaking a nap in before his important ring bearer duties began 🥰 Both of them looked on in wonder as they watched their Mum and Dad celebrate their love. It was just beautiful.

As Jess was about to come down the aisle, I asked Ben if he had his vow book. “All up here” he replied, pointing to his head. When I complimented him on his commitment to memorising them, he just smiled and said “that’s love, mate”. And plain and simple, it was.

It’s a ceremony that I’ll never forget. Congratulations guys. Wishing you all the best for your future together! 🤍

As the sun began to rise over the top of Mount Archer this morning, Sam & Caitlyn started their journey together as a married couple.

Surrounded by their closest family and friends, their wedding was intimate and beautiful. In the mere 11°C weather, their guests held each other close as they watched the happy couple express their love and commitment to one another. It was the perfect ceremony for the perfect couple.

Despite only meeting Sam & Caitlyn yesterday and having their wedding in my book since Tuesday due to a celebrant change, I feel like having them as my clients was meant to be. Witnessing their celebration of love this morning reminded me why I got into this industry and how lucky I am to be apart of people’s special moments.

“May you have found the one with whom you will watch every sunrise, until the sunset of your life” 💛

WHAT HAPPENS IF I WANT / NEED TO CHANGE CELEBRANTS?

If for any reason you need to change your marriage celebrant, your original celebrant will need to transfer your Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) to the new intended celebrant. This can be done at any time before your ceremony, including the day of 💒

Your notice period does not restart if you change celebrants. One month from the date that your NOIM was submitted with your original celebrant is when you can get married, so if you needed a replacement celebrant on the day of your ceremony, that would be accepted.

It’s important to consider that in most cases, you would have paid your original celebrant a non-refundable fee when booking with them. However your new celebrant is within their rights to ask for payment for their services as well. You will also need to sign a new service agreement.

You also need to show your new celebrant your identification documents, even if your original celebrant has sighted them. A celebrant is not permitted to solemnise a marriage unless they have sighted original identification documents 📃

Zoe and Isabelle eloped last Tuesday at the Slab Hat within Kershaw Gardens, with their fur baby Benni and Zoe’s grandparents by their side 🤍

Intimate, short and sweet, their ceremony was the shortest I’ve had so far. And I loved it! There was no stress about getting the right shots for a photographer, no worrying about guests having their phones out or filling up seats. Just a couple in love, two witnesses and a beautiful sunny day.

On July 26th, 2024 at Rackemann’s Cottage within the Rockhampton Heritage Village, Elaine and Luke said their I Do’s surrounded by their closest family and friends. It was a stunning ceremony, performed in perfect weather and embraced by calm & caring energy from all of their guests.

Elaine and Luke were the very first couple to book me as their celebrant. Through the process of our meetings, crafting their ceremony and communicating with them, I have learned so many things that have helped shape me professionally and I will be forever grateful that they put their faith in me for their big day.

Guys, I hope your special day was everything you wished for! I’ll be keen to catch up for that beer soon 🍻

IMPORTANT POST, PLEASE READ ‼️

For those of you who don’t already know, my husband and I are expecting another little boy in February 2025 🩵 This means that I will be going on Maternity Leave on December 31st 2024 and won’t be back until next year.

For those of you who have bookings with me in 2025, do not fear! Your bookings are still valid and will not be cancelled. At this stage, I am not accepting any additional 2025 bookings, until our sweet boy has arrived.

Some couples invite the idea of having their friends and family capture their own photos of the ceremony. However, these days it’s becoming more common to have an unplugged ceremony. To those couples, it is important that ALL guests adhere to the request. Why?
• It allows their loved ones to be fully engaged and present at the ceremony
• It ensures that the photographer can get their gallery back swiftly without having to edit out 10 different hands holding phones
• It lessens the chance of someone blocking the aisle, of a phone going off during the ceremony and of premature social media posts being made before the couple have had the chance to do so
So the takeaway? Don’t jeopardise the couple’s happiness for your own self-regarding reasons 💒

I had the pleasure of officiating a marriage at The Barn at the Mountain earlier in the year. The owners were lovely and the venue is absolutely beautiful too, with wide open spaces, the barn, the garden fire pit and fairy lights. I’d recommend TBATM to any couples looking for their dream wedding venue.
