Progress Report #06

Meet our newest team member 'Dave'.
Dave is our resident Safety Officer.

Dave will be discussing our PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) along with our Fun and Safety Guide in the next post.
After long discussions with Dave, he has chosen to allow a few customers to BOOK A SESSION this weekend.

That's right!
Dave has allowed us to take a few bookings this Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 6pm. Dave seems to think Rocky Smash Rooms should allow a few early bird sessions!

Progress Report #05

Sound Check 1,2,3, 1,2, Sound Check......
Team member John and his +1 allowed us to test the noise levels when smashing and bashing and crashing in all its glorious fun.
I don't know what was louder? The sound of smashing items or the laughter.
All part of the 'take one for the team approach'.
Poor John for having to spend time in testing!

Next post - lets talk Safety Equipment and PPE clothing.
We will also introduce you to our new member of the team - 'Dave'.

These photos are a few days old now but we will post newer photos next week. We are working on the cameras, fans, the display TV and the change room along with more work in the reception and lounge area. Still so much more to do and we are now looking to the last week of opening. We expect to lock in a date next week and announce OPENING DAY!

Progress Report #02

Time for another update. With painting complete (thanx John) and working on final electrics, the team are beavering away on the reception, lounge, dressing room and other areas.

The next post tomorrow we will release the base Packages and Pricing and by the weekend we will have our Pre-Launch Vouchers ready for sale. These have some extra FREE 'Smashables' and a FREE Gift. Keep an eye out on Sunday for the release as there are only 100 of these available. We expect they will sell quickly. These digital vouchers can be purchased with card over phone or simply call in to Virtual World, 181 East St.

A good question was asked a few days ago that I would like to answer.
Q. What is a Smash Room?
A. In a nutshell

A smash room is a place where you can unleash your inner rage and frustration by breaking various objects with tools like hammers, bats, crowbars, shovels and more. Smash rooms are also known as rage rooms, anger rooms, or break rooms. They are designed to provide a safe and fun way to vent your emotions and relieve stress or simply have some awesome guilt free fun.
This Adults only 18+ experience offers different packages and themes to suit your preferences
You simply choose or pre-book a package, sign a waiver, head to the dressing room and play dress-ups with all the really cool looking PPE attire. Let us say you have never looked so awesome!
Head to the props wall for a group photo for some antics and laughs.

We then take you to your Smash Room, check over your PPE, give you a safety spiel and cover all the safety rules and common sense stuff - then we leave you be!
Place your mobile in the holder if you wish to play some fav tunes or record your epic smash session. Rage on to some AC/DC or Feargal Sharkry or a little bit of Mozart.
You can either throw items at a wall, the ground or for more deep seated satisfaction, place item/s on the provided drum and take careful aim and swing away with your bat or smash away with a hammer or more if you purchased additional electronics.
Smash items like plates, glass bottles, toasters, printers, computers, TVs and more with a hammer, bat or crowbar. You can choose your own music, record your session and enjoy the thrill of breaking things without any consequences. It's a great way to have some fun, relieve some stress and unleash your inner beast.
Once finished, leave your smash weapons on the floor, leave the mess for us to clean up and exit the room to the dressing room.

Disrobe and come say hi to the team and purchase some merch (coming later in the year)
Smash rooms can be a great activity for parties, dates, team building, or just for smashing good fun.

Progress Report #01

Now that school holidays have finished and the crazy busy at Virtual World has eased we have been working as fast as possible downstairs to bring Rockhampton's first Smash Rooms Venue.

In the past few weeks we have been building the walls and doors to the actual Smash Rooms. With the framing complete, walls attached we can begin the prep and paint.
Over the coming weekend we expect all the final timber work to be completed. We still have some final tweak's to the rooms to be completed over the coming weeks but work can commence on the reception and lounge area next week.

This Sunday we expect to release the Session Packages and Pricing and we will deliver 2 updates weekly. Pre Sales Tickets with a little extra and a FREE BONUS will go on sale prior to OPEN DAY and there will only be 100 if these tickets.
