Sherry Davidson - CQ Celebrant

Sherry Davidson - CQ Celebrant Weddings Funerals Namings... Any ceremony is within my range of service. Each ceremony is written specifically for that occasion... I am a Civil Celebrant.

I was registered 02-09-2008 with the Attorney-General's Department of Australia. MARRIAGE:
I offer a very personal service to couples. It is my policy to only ever conduct one ceremony per day - so location; time etc are open to change right throughout that day. (Maybe the Best Man’s plane is delayed or perhaps the mother of the bride suffers an anxiety attack) … we are able to wait for them becau

se I have no other commitment on that day. Planning your ceremony and delivery of the service is my responsibility; however, I place very high importance on the meaning of the ceremony to you. With this in mind we will work together to choose words that will convey your feelings. On the day I will help you to express those feelings. A unique ceremony scripted specifically for each couple is my specialty. NAMINGS:
A civil ceremony is becoming the choice of many families. It is an opportunity to introduce the child to family and friends ... officially recognize the child's name and to celebrate the addition to a family. Many Christians, do not believe in infant baptism … so choose this cultural celebration … and leave the child free to choose or not to choose baptism in their late teens. All naming ceremonies are done or performed on this principle. FUNERALS:
My goal in life has been to find a role in which I can walk away at the end of the task thinking …
“You have done a fine job. You have made someone else’s life that little bit easier” …
As a Funeral Celebrant I get to enjoy that feeling time and again. My reward comes in hearing the bereaved say “Thank You … that was just beautiful. She/he would have been really pleased.”
As a Civil Celebrant I ensure that I keep up to date with training and I am a member of the Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants (AFCC). I have the opportunity to perform all ceremonies that deal with life celebrations … Naming … Marriage … Funeral. It is the final “celebration of the life of …” that will remain forever with the bereaved family and friends ... their final memory to carry through the rest of their lives and it is so important that the memory is a “good” memory. At times like this it is hard to see past the sorrow, but reflecting on the wonderful shared memories will help with the grieving. OTHER: If you can think of a reason for celebration of an occasion by means of a ceremony, then I am the one you need. You bring me the idea and I will build it into a memorable ceremony.

Someone who had terminal cancer once said, "don't be sad for me, we all come to this world to be tourists, enjoy life, go sightseeing, do good deeds, I just so happen to be leaving earlier than others". Today is Cancer Survivor Day. Can I ask a favor??

Just a few of you will do it. If you know someone who fought a battle against cancer and passed away or someone who is still struggling or know a brave survivor; copy and paste.

So many warriors on my mind today.
